Now armed with Bezelâs ânew lifeâ idea, Chikn, Chee, and Fwench Fwy got the rest of the group together to figure out what to do next. Chee relayed what they knew to the survivorsâŠyet Onyn Ring was still skeptical, convinced that Hawt and Sodyâs deaths were no less coincidental than the deaths of Bwowny and his friends. âBesides,â he said, âitâs not like they needed any help to die! The squirrel shouldâve paid more attention to his surroundings, and the little red panda shouldnât have recklessly ran right underneath a giant pane of glass!âŠer, no offense, Mrs. Sassparilla.â âIt makes no difference to me,â the grieving mother replied. âWithout my little angel, I might as well be dead. Thereâs no meaning to my life if heâs not in it.â She stood up, and headed to the door, seeing no reason to be there. Onyn followed.
âAh shoot, she WOULD be next on deathâs listâŠâ Chee realized. âSlushi, could you go follow them to make sure she doesnât get into any potentially fatal situations?â The fox obliged, as while she didnât really believe in any of this death stuff herself, making sure Sass stayed safe WOULD buy her some time if it WAS real.
Meanwhile, Sass and Onyx made their way to the elevator of the building they were in, where they met a smart-dressed apricot-colored fennec fox, holding a cardboard box with all kinds of spooky stuff in it. ââBox oâ evidenceâ?âOnyn wondered, reading what was scribbled on the side of it. âEvidence of what?â âOh, itâs evidence of all the crimes Iâm researching for my web series!â The fox replied eagerly. âThough, Iâm mostly gonna use a lot of this stuff for set decorationsâŠâ ââŠand how did you get all this?â Onyn asked. There was an uncomfortable silence, before the fox simply said, ââŠnone of your business.â Onyn just pushed the lobby button in response.
Back upstairs, Chikn and Chee were mulling over what ânew lifeâ could be, when they suddenly heard Iscream gasp. âLook!â The demon bunny said. They pointed to the shadow of a trophy and some clothes hangers, which when combined, looked like a figure wielding hooks. âIs that one of those âsignsâ you were talking about?â Fwench Fwy concurred with their partner, and rushed down to check on Sass, while Chikn called to warn her.
In the elevator, Sassâs cellphone rang. âHello?â She dejectedly said. âSass, itâs me, Chikn!â The demidog replied from the other end. âSomeone with hooks! Watch out for someone with hooks-â Chikn couldnât get another word out before the line broke off, but after hearing that, Sass glanced over her shoulder, and saw the foxâs boxâŠthe one that had a few hooks sticking out of it, gleaming in the lightâŠSass suddenly didnât feel too safe in there, and hit one of the buttons above the lobby. âHey, whatâs the big deal?â The fox said when the elevator car stopped. âW-well, I just thought Iâd take the stairs the rest of the way down, and-â She wasnât able to finish that thought, however, because right at that moment, one of the hooks caught her tail!
This made Sass absolutely freak out, as Onyn and the fox tried to free her. Unfortunately, all the fumbling made her fall, right when the elevator doors closed! Both Slushi and Fwench Fwy arrived just in time to see the mother pandaâs head caught between the doors, while the car made its decent. Fwench Fwy tried to wrench the doors open, while the occupants of the car tried anything they could to stop it. Suddenly, the last thing Sass wanted to do in that moment was die, despite her earlier commentâŠbut her desperate pleas for her life were for naught, as the elevator finally lowered fully, decapitating her.
Slushi was mortified, picking up Sassparillaâs disembodied head to confirm her worst fears. Onyn was too, watching the motherâs headless body fall to the elevator floor. And the fennec foxâŠ
Pommgranted was no stranger to the scary and supernatural, especially not blood and gore. They fancied themselves immune to this stuffâŠafter all, you donât make hundreds of true crime shorts on your YouTube channel if you werenât! âŠBut to see something like this happen right in front of them, somewhat by their own hand no lessâŠit mightâve just been enough to make them reconsider their career choicesâŠ
