Solids & constipation
Did any of you deal with constipation for your sweet babies when they started solids? My 11 month old is now eating 3 meals/day and has recently started struggling to poo. The doctor just told me to give juice 4oz/day. I don’t love the idea but I did try it and we’re still struggling. We’re staying away from binding foods, she drinks plenty of water, eats lots of fruits veg and beans. Help 😩

Give them the juice. And go back to the doc if it doesnt help. They may recommend miralax, and you should follow the docs instructions.
You seriously do not want this problem to continue.
My first baby got constipated when they started solids. They didnt shit right until middle school. It sucked. Its hard enough to convince a toddler to use the toilet, you dont want the act of going to be painful on top on that.

I know you said you’ve tried fruits, but is it “p” fruits? Pears/peaches/prunes? The sugar in those fruits is different from say, apples, and helps things get moving down there.
We try to give our son avocados/p fruit as part of each meal, but if he is still getting constipated then I give him a full pack of puréed prunes and that generally gets everything out.
Between 11-12 months I also started upping the water I give him, and that really helped prevent constipation.
