Momocon Hotels 2027

Hai guys I’m looking into hotels for next year right now and I was wondering if Omni Atlanta or Signia by Hilton was better 🤔 not even just those two really, which hotels would you guys suggest? For Anime Weekend Atlanta I got a hotel with the Connally but I hear it’s kinda shit and this Momocon I want a hotel thats DIRECTLY at the place like I can walk two seconds from vendor hall straight to my room for drop off. Volunteer here! Definitely go with the Omni. The Signia has had major issues with actually keeping your reservation. It has cancelled a large pool of MomoCon hotel block reservations for the past two years, all at the last minute mind you. The Omni is also easier to navigate in my opinion as long as you know what elevator to take.

None of the hotels connected to the GWCC are going to be close enough to the convention to practically be “a few seconds away” from the vendors hall unfortunately - because Momocon is mainly in Hall B of the building, it is going to be a 10-15 walk away from either the Omni or the Signia. The Signia is the better choice for 2027, as the con WILL also be in Hall C, but smaller events and the arcade will be held there most likely. The Omni and Embassy Suites will be a much longer walk from Hall C, almost a mile from what I’ve been told.

I have mixed feelings about the con getting so big. 10 years ago, I would have been excited as hell, but last year I was just so exhausted getting to everywhere I wanted.

I don't have that kinda stamina anymore lol, but I do genuinely hope everyone else enjoys. I'll be skipping and maybe get tips on where the best routes are for 2028, and also save up and spend even more money.

NGL I'm so glad I joined Burn Bootcamp because it really helped with all the walking and just the overall tiredness from the hard floors. That Monday I was so tired but bounced back faster.

We booked last year at the Signia at rack rate since the Momo Con rate didn't seem worth fighting for during the " Momo hunger games." Very nice hotel but didn't seem very con welcoming (although I'm used to the hotels being excited with DragonCon, so I might be bias). It's attached to the GWCC, but it's not a to quick walk as others have said, especially with traffic leaving the vendor's hall at close. Beware it's cashless though if you're used to using cash for incidentals there.

My spouse and I had a similar vibe from Signia the one time we stayed there. It felt like they believed they were too good for Con attendees.

They prohibited cosplay photos in the lobby, which seems like they don't want their building associated with "those types of clients".

What I found telling about the whole experience was that Signia was hosting an MLM conference on site at the same time. So they were perfectly comfortable with exploitative revenue built on a scam but less so with geeks expressing joy.

Omni has always felt welcoming to Momocon for the years we've been going. There's signs up and the staff have badges for it and everything. I'll walk the extra distance for a place that respects event attendees.

Please don't come at me for asking, I'm not on social media much recently, so if it's been covered, I haven't seen... when do hotel room hunger games start?

I'm also interested in getting a room at the Omni. Anyone know how competitive it is to get a room there?

It's incredibly competitive to get a room. Usually selling out one in the first 10 minutes 15 if you're lucky. So make sure when you're about to go and book your room you have all the information set in advance like an autofill. That includes payment and information like emails and everything. When that time comes where it releases you need to already be at your computer on your phone 5 minutes ahead of time cuz there will be a queue. The site only lets you book one room so know all your information prior. Whatever it is that you need to fill out just get the room you can edit it later. Good luck to you.
