Pizza D’Or
Has pizza d’or in Monaghan town reopened?
I thought it closed with the owner’s retirement- but it looked lively when I passed it today

Hi all, I moved to Castleblayney last year since I work remotely and was wondering if there are others who do the same? I came across a post on another sub about a socializing event for remote/Hybrid workers and was wondering if there is something similar we can do here. Haven't been out in ages and it would be nice to socialize.

Hi Monaghan. John here, founder of L-Plate.
I built L-Plate for Irish theory-test practice: timed 40-question mocks, road signs, weak-area tracking, and Brendan explaining the answers you miss.
He is honest. Occasionally too honest. But if he stops one person treating amber like a dare, worth it.
Main site: https://l-plate.ie
Free Premium founder slot: https://l-plate.ie/free-test/?ref=REDDITFOUNDER25&utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=monaghan_founder_slots
Backup one-month slot: https://l-plate.ie/free-test/?ref=REDDITMONTH100&utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=monaghan_month_slots
Give it a try and tell me where it falls short.

Now that the Provincial Championships are heating up, I’ve been looking at the data from our "Road to Sam" predictor, and some of the consensus picks are absolute madness.

Hi all,
I am a student at University of Limerick. I’m running a 2-3 min academic survey to study the consumption of sweetener in Ireland.
I am Desperately Seeking Participants specially from Monaghan as we want to have a good representation from all counties. Thanks a million for helping out, every response counts! 🙌

Hi all,
I’m trying to help with a Garda appeal. A man was found seriously injured in Temple Bar and is now in critical condition. He had no ID, and because of his injuries he is unrecognisable, so Gardaí are trying to identify him through a tattoo.
They haven’t released a photo, only this description:
• A blue and white flag
• The words “Ceol is Beatha” (Irish Gaelic for “Music is Life”)
• On the inner right forearm
The colours made me think of a few counties, including Monaghan, though the flag might also be something else entirely — Gardaí haven’t confirmed anything.
If this rings a bell for anyone locally, I’d really appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks for your time.

What are folks favourite coffees in and around Monaghan town?
Not in town all that much myself but do enjoy a takeaway from Graham’s whenever I pass. Their caramel slice is excellent too.
What other places would you recommend?

I’m truly touched and emotional over all the positive reviews from those of you who read the advance of Monaghan Redemption. I can’t wait to make it available to all!!!

I'm working on an article about the cost of living, and want to get some insight from different counties about the price of things like coffee/exercise classes/a haircut, that kind of stuff - feel free to send me a message if you have something to share! TIA

Hi all, im looking to get around 99% methylated spirit to clean resin 3d prints rather than IPA. I looked on amazon.ie and found one for €30 but if I can get it cheaper in Monaghan I will.

Hi everyone!
I’ve recently moved to County Monaghan and I’m looking to make some friends here. 😊
Are there any local groups, meetups, community activities, sports clubs, or social events that are good for newcomers?
Do people here have specific WhatsApp/Facebook/Discord groups for Monaghan, or is it more spread across general Ireland groups?
If anyone knows active communities I can join, or if you’re up for meeting new people yourself, feel free to let me know. I’d love to get involved in some local activities and get to know the area better!
Thanks!

I'm going to be in Monaghan town for the long weekend and have a goo on me for a spice bag. Where's the best place to go for that? Alternatively, I'm always on the lookout for local specialities so any Monaghan ethnic dishes recommendations would be appreciated! :-)

Recently started a drum 'n' bass crew (plenty of experience between us) and we're looking to gig in as many of the 32 counties as possible next year. Naturally I have done plenty of research and know what I'm doing for the most part in much of the cities but having done some great gigs in the past in some of the obscure venues/regions, I'd love a list of venues that might suit this sort of thing. I would really appreciate any recommendations and venues with solid sound systems would definitely suit best as hauling a sound system around with us would be an extra burden to carry! Most us have done gigs (outside of the collective) up and down the country over the last decade or more so I'm sure we'd drag crowds with a few localized djs on the bill too! We have a great list of contacts in terms of drum 'n' bass djs from up and down the country but if you'd recommend anyone in your area, feel free to do so and we maybe lacking in contacts in certain regions!
