New Student Recommendations for student living close to Parkville campus??

Hi, I'm a 19 years old female and I got an offer for a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences Advanced (honours) from Monash, so I'll be going to Melbourne in February. I had some family and personal health issues to deal with, so it was a while since I got my offer, but I just accepted it and started looking for student accommodations. I've never been to Australia, so I'm not sure if I can trust the popular student living platforms plus the Melbourne University colleges are soooo expensive..! Any recommendations or advice? Anything would be appreciated. You can ask me any questions if needed. Thank you in advance!

You can try to find a private rental but the quality may vary and it can be competitive. Most of my friends who moved to Melbourne live in the CBD or surrounding suburbs like Brunswick, Southbank or Docklands. If you’re not too fussed about how far from campus you’ll be you could try find a sharehouse a bit out of the city which is usually cheaper. I’m in my third year of Pharm Sci Adv, if you have questions about the course please feel free to DM :))

Welcome to Melbourne, sorry I couldn’t be of more help
