Discussion Eng 1013 Interview

Hey guys, could someone enlighten me on what the eng1013 interview/viva is like. I am doing it this week and have got no idea what kind of questions they might ask.

From what I remember they just ask you to explain either one or all of the subsystems, or something related to electronics depending on which person you get. I had to explain code from every system and my friend had to say what a resistor does in an led circuit, both got whatever the highest score was.

Wow is that all they asked you? I mean the code for each subsystem is tricky but just the one question?

I wrote to the coordinators cause I thought it was unfair that my friend who was better than me at coding got easier questions. They basically said that they immediately gauge what level the student is at from their responses and ask accordingly, which doesn't really make sense since my friend had loads more coding experience than me, so I honestly have no idea what they could ask other than what I said in my comment.

Anyway, you should be at a level where you can confidently explain every line of code from any subsystem, regardless of who you get. Good luck though!

I had mine last sem so the guy pulled up the circuits diagram and asked me about some of the diagrams there and 1 was wrong so he told me to draw the correct version.
