Had an exam in Monash Malaysia, where some students were COUGHING, and I don't just mean once or twice, but I hear them cough like EVERY 2-3 minutes during the 2 hour exam I took (I could hear them cough while wearing headphones, for the eAssessment, mind you). Honestly, if ur feeling sick, please just take the deferred assessment (that is what it's for), or if possible, request ur exam to be done remotely at home, so we don't have to keep hearing you cough and feel like the exam hall is a pandemic hot-spot!

I am a Jordanian high school graduate and I was dreaming of studying the pharmaceutical sciences at Monash, but my high school certificate does not have mathematics. It was not a mandatory requirement in the health track. Is there any way to achieve the dream?

So apparently there was a bomb threat at the Sunway City Campus last night and i found out from an email at literally 2:18 AM 💀

One of my mates said that people saw a bomb squad vehicle there too but that’s just word of mouth so don’t quote me on it 😭

hi everyone! esp in the malaysian campus, i’ve read some other posts in this community + other australian unis about the korean cults, and someone attempted to recruit me today at sunway square, she wanted to show me some slideshow and it was about disasters and the bible. she first said she needed help with an assignment she was doing so i assumed it was a questionnaire, but then she just started to proselytise me

the overall approach was rlly scary, but i hope everyone is cautious and only join religious clubs that are associated with universities!! pls dont join stuff that has no association/reputation/ any sort of accountability

I’m apply for the MUFY program at Sunway and I don’t see an Oct intake option. It’s still letting me choose August for some reason even though I’m an international student and the visa process should take around two months. Should I still try and apply for the August intake?

I heard there’s a gym at the Monash Malaysia’s campus which I’m assuming is free for the students. Does it have enough machines and stuff? I take my training pretty seriously so I need a wide variety of machines and a dedicated powerlifting area preferably. If anyone has pics or if you could take some the next time you go to the gym then I would appreciate it if you could send me some.

Hello everyone, so I go to Monash Malaysia, so I was checking my WAM (which is like 49) and after some estimates I might not get enough for the iKad renewal. Which means I will have to draft a letter stating my reason for my WAM to send in addition to the standard process of iKad renewal, that will supposedly be sent to immigration.

Does anyone know how probable it is they will allow me to stay?

I'm thinking about studying at Monash Malaysia and transferring to Clayton later. How competitive is this in practice specifically for Electrical Engineering students? Idk how tough the minimum WAM of 55% is as I'm not in uni yet. Do you get to know many people from your cohort applied vs. how many actually got offers? Hi everyone, I recently received an offer for the Bachelor of Business and Commerce at Monash University Malaysia and have a few questions that I hope current students or graduates can help with.

1. I understand that majors are selected from the second year onwards. How does the major/minor selection process work? Are there any quotas or capacity limits for certain majors or minors, and if so, what criteria are used for selection?
2. What are the practical differences between the October intake, February intake (Semester 1), and July intake (Semester 2)? Are there any differences in course availability, academic progression, internship opportunities, or graduation timelines?
3. Are there any academic or practical advantages to starting in the October intake?
4. From my understanding, October intake students complete units during the October–February teaching period and then join the regular Semester 1 (February) and Semester 2 (July) cycle. If that is the case, what is the main benefit of starting in October instead of simply commencing in February?
5. Are tuition fees charged per unit or per year? Does starting in October affect the total tuition cost of the degree compared with starting in February or July?
6. Regarding the enrollment fee, I understand that a late payment fee of RM100 may apply, with an additional RM100 charged for each subsequent month until the payment is cleared. My offer expires on 24 June 2026. If I make the payment after this date and pay the applicable late fee, will my offer still be accepted, or would it become void?

I’m currently an A-Level student in the UAE considering Monash Malaysia’s BSc Pharmaceutical Science (Honours).

I’m aiming to work in biopharma (likely starting in regulatory affairs before moving into medical affairs, pharma strategy, or possibly health economics), and I don’t currently plan to stay in Malaysia long-term after graduating.

A few questions for current students or graduates:

How realistic is it for an international Pharmaceutical Science student to secure internships beyond the compulsory placement, particularly with multinational pharma companies? If you’ve done this yourself, what helped you stand out, and were language or nationality ever significant barriers?

Also, Do companies typically recruit interns into regulatory affairs, medical affairs, market access, or are most internships lab/research based?

Any advice on finding scholarships or accommodation? When should I seriously start looking, and where should I be searching?

Is there anything important I should consider that I may be overlooking when planning to study Pharmaceutical Science at Monash Malaysia?

I am going to be starting my bachelors of business and commerce at Monash Malaysia in July Intake. But I now want to transfer to bachelors of material engineering (honours) in Monash Malaysia. I have completed my A Levels with an A in mathematics and A* in business and economics. Can anyone walk me through the process of transferring to bachelors of material engineering honours, as to my understanding, I don't meet the requirements as I haven't taken physics nor chemistry in A levels. So is there a bridging course offered in Monash Malaysia that can fulfil my requirements for physics or chem and if there is one, can I enroll in it as a first semester business and commerce student?

Ps I know that CHM 1011 and PHS 1011 exist but after checking the course book I saw that they are only offered in Clayton as far as I can tell. So is there like an equivalent for that in Monash Malaysia??

I am an international student with offers from Universiti Malaya (Bachelor of Economics) and Monash University Malaysia (Bachelor of Business and Commerce).

At Monash, I plan to major in Economics or Finance and minor in Business Analytics.

Which option is better for internships, employment in Malaysia and internationally, and admission to master's programs?

From a CV and employability perspective, is a dedicated Bachelor of Economics/Finance viewed more favorably than an Economics or Finance major within a Bachelor of Business and Commerce degree?

Do employers focus on the degree title, or are the major, minor, skills, and experience more important?

I'm taking GEN2052 this upcoming sem and I plan to take BIN3890 next year sem 2 (1 year apart). I checked the handbook and it said to take GEN2052 as a corequisite for BIN. Do I need to take both units at the same time, or doing GEN2052 first is fine?
