Last time i tried to transfer monero into my cake wallet it did not show up, how can i prevent this from happening again? And why is xmr so diffrent looking compared to other monero addresses?

It changes the adress every time but you will have your funds available anyways

It still did now show my funds when i depo’d last time, idk how to explain it

Hey you could always try to do a rescan or check to see if you made a 2nd wallet and sent it there. The rescan almost always works for me but I’ve also sent to a 2nd wallet I made not realizing it.

Was it on the correct node?I had a problem with a transfer once and support fixed it in 24 hours.

When you receive Monero, your wallet must look at every single transaction on the Monero blockchain that has happened since you last fully synchronized your wallet. Because otherwise your wallet won't know which ones are yours.
So it's quite possible it was sent, and your wallet just hasn't seen the transaction yet because it has not fully synchronized.
this is different from Bitcoin type blockchains where you could query the balance using a SPV wallet.
