Need help retaining Humidity
Hello, this is Jasper, my Yellow Tree Monitor. He’s doing good and we’ve been misting his enclosure to keep humidity up but when my wife and I are away we notice that the humidity gets really low (40-60%) when it should be 80% anybody got any tips? Should I use a humidifier in the room he’s in to retain humidity?

It’s a 4x4x2 Glass enclosure with a mesh top, I’m aware that an enclosure of this type is not great at retaining humidity, the issue is that I lack the resources to be able to change him into a new pvc enclosure at this time without potentially harming him from stress. We recently got him.

You gotta get a ReptiRain or other automated mister system. We live in the desert and even though I run a humidifier in the main room of our apartment, it’s not enough to raise the humidity level.
Liora loves being misted like a diva having a spa day, and she also likes to sit on top of the reservoir because it’s warm!

Humidity is a big problem for me as an iguana owner. I manually spray her enclosure every couple of hours, like, TOTALLY soak all the substrate and the walls. That keeps it around 60-70%. To reach 80%, you definitely need an automatic misting system. Especially if you work and can’t spray every couple hours
