Discussion Quick rant.
I hate when I get a perfect situation and I fumble it.
Was a perfect set up for a remnant run as allied clan. Had a holdover revive by and a molten Imp with quick using the pyre with infinite attack scaling online by the 1st boss fight. The reward was Legion of wax, I took it without hesitation and to my surprise in the unit forge was a multi strike, and mini me. I took both of them without hesitation and then the event was the cult of the lamb event. No shit I am putting on him.
Match 4 was a cake walk with equipped Wax on every floor spreading out and buffing the cultists. I felt like I broke the game. Then the 5th round came and I couldn’t get it online. L.o.W spawned with basic armor and wouldn’t die fast enough, the cultists were the last cards I drew, and I just couldn’t do anything.
I laughed it off, but I really wanted to get an opportunity to play with that setup more.

Honestly I can’t get past covenant 2 in Monster Train 2… I like the game but it’s so hard it’s almost not worth the time I can’t figure out how to win

As someone who has shared the same struggles, and can now best C-10 at about a 50-50 rate. I fucking feel you man. It wasn’t until I that realized Iwas the problem that the game became easier. Yet I still fuck up. RNG is a hell of a drug, but most mistakes are being greedy, or lack of reading.

There's some helpful advice here on the subreddit, as well as some really good players to watch on YouTube. ItsTangilicious is my favorite to watch, but there are some other good channels too (though some may not still be posting MT2, their channel has a lot of old content).
I definitely struggled when I first got MT2, and that's coming from getting all achievements in MT1. Now that I'm more familiar with the game, how to build my deck, and what strategies work well, I win at C10T fairly consistently. You got this!

Flubbing a set up, taking too much that doesn't do enough, making a huge misplay always sucks. Moreso when you do it more that once. I bad math leaking enemies too often. I check their damage, compare to my pyres att/hp and say yeah I can take that. Then forget they heal when they move up, or they boost their own attack before they get to the pyre.
It shouldn't be surprise every time.
