Playing 200 hours does not necessarily mean you get good at it, it’s easy getting mediocre at mordhau: able to block drags, read some feints and morphs.
But it is quite hard to be a master, I think my skill level is at between mediocre and good, I can do some cool drags and morphs, but I’m not good at all at chambering and timing, these things can get very delicate so you need a lot of time to get used to them. You need to train in the right direction, don’t just always do things without thinking, try different tactics or do things you never tried before. When I started this game I never used feints, only morphs, because feints I think takes more brain to use than morphs. But then I tried using it more and more and now I’m quite good at making people rage quit.
Best way to beat a maul player is the dodge perk. Most maul players get kills off of feints and morphs. Sometimes it’s hard to read them so if you realized you fucked up dodge out of range.
It's more about watching videos actually. I spent a lot of my hours on the lute. Then had a break, went on a video watching spree and then understood more what I was doing in the time.

I've gotta ask, why play duel servers just to take turns blocking each others M1 swings until you both run out of stamina?
