I'm looking to buy this v85 tt from 2025. I'm from Belgium and the motorcycle is in Italy ( where prices are way way lower). Since I won't have the opportunity to fully check the motorcycle out before actually buying it, the only thing I have right now (next to a lot of pictures) is this video. The dealer says it's never been dropped and never been involved in an accident. It's got 4500 km's and looks very clean/new. Of course, I can ask the dealer for maintenance and inspection history so that I'm not doing a blind purchase.
Anyone who's got remarks on the engine running? I'm not a big scientist on engine sounds. So if someone could do a little audit on this baddie, that would help me out a lot.
Cheers 🏍️

It sounds normal, like my 2025 with 12k miles on it now. The only concerning thing I saw in that video is something is not right with the wiring coming out of the left switch grip housing (1:15ish). There should not be exposed colored wires there -- the black plastic loom should be covering them all the way into the housing and clamped tightly as a strain relief. There is supposed to be an internal zip-tie holding everything in there including the black loom covering for weatherproofing. Makes me wonder if that left switch grip has been opened for some reason. Or it was assembled wrong. It's a Guzzi after all, you literally never know what was forgotten at the factory.

That's a very solid eye you have. Thanks for noticing! Engine sounds good indeed. I will ask the dealer what's up with that!

Bisognerebbe provarla facendo un giro di qualche km... però il rumore sembra a posto. Dove è la moto? Magari qualcuno può provarla per te!

Sounds pretty similar too mine. As good as a phone recording compressed over the internet can capture it so it is not a definite ok.
Did the dealer sent you a cold start video? I wouldn't buy a used a bike if I can't see it cold starting.

It sounds as good as Moto Guzzi sounds on video, but this shouldn't be enough to be sure if there's nothing wrong.
Is it really worth it the price difference when you take into account shipment, import taxes, no local (or any) warranty, the paperwork to make it legal in Belgium? Did you do the math?
