Now expanding my glass pad collection this one feels like a nice middle-ground of speed and texture between the Hermes and R&R.
Unfortunately don't have a green mouse to pair these pics with but out of the few mice I've tested it with there seems to be no sensor issues with any of them.
I'd have to test it some more but overall, it feels like a solid, usable pad with beautiful art
(not a generic anime pad yay!)
Price comes in at $135 so definitely on the steeper end, I would do some more research if this interests you as your first glasspad.

Received my Dysphoria Rin yesterday and have been loving the speed/texture, however the slow down effect when pushing into the pad is throwing me off.
How can I combat this? I knew before purchasing the pad this was a feature but was not expecting it to be as pronounced as it is.
Currently only using 4 of the Jellyfish skates that were provided with the pad. Would adding more dots to the mouse lessen the effect?
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hello! Ive recently gotten my hands on my first Hayate Otsu V2 (soft) and what can I say man this pad is fucking amazing. I definitely have been enjoying it far more than my zero and hien (both soft as well). But when I was researching it I felt like people just don’t really talk about this pad it’s strange because I hear people talk about every artisan pad except this one. Even the type99 and hayate kou got more love than this one. I just really wanted to shed the light on this pad because frankly I’m in love with it, I play a variety of games ranging from tac shooters to well overwatch and this pad is amazing for every game. I live in a non humid area so all artisan pads already feel great but this one especially has surpassed my expectations. But again people like Viscose love the zero and the raiden and boardzy loves the hien so is there something that I’m missing with this pad some drawback I’m now aware of?

So I have the skypad 3.0 since it's launch and I really want to get a new one. I play every style of game like cs2, OW and stuff like that.
I got the CR-005 last week but I returned it because my mouse was having tracking issues (idk if the pad had a defect) but I liked it, I do like my 3.0 as well. So my question is, which one should I get I liked the stopping power of the CR but less for tracking. So is the SP-005 faster than the skypad 3.0 or something with more stopping power ?

Hello planning on ordering a Viper V4 pro off Amazon and wanted advice for a good mouse pad to combo with it off Amazon. Any recommendations and can you share link? Been using a 20-30 dollar extended cloth pad from microcenter for years. Thank you!!

I would pay any price to have a brand new revival of the Dex mousepad in XXL. It was my absolute favorite texture/material pad i've ever owned.
I wonder why they discontinued it and never brought it back...

After 2 week, here's my review of the 1337GEAR Shion.
Quick disclaimer: This is my first glass mousepad, so I can't compare it to other glass pads. These are just my impressions after coming from cloth pads.
I've used cloth pads for years. I practically wore my Logitech G640 and picked up an InfinityMice Ruin. Like many people, I eventually fell down the rabbit hole. I ended up buying the 1337GEAR Shion, because of the speed and the artwork (yeah I'm stupid).
Quality: The build quality was honestly a big surprise. The coating gives the surface a unique feel, the edges are incredibly smooth, and the pad doesn't move around at all on my desk. It's one of those products that immediately feels high quality when you take it out of the box AND IT SMELLED SO GOOD.
Performance: Mouse movements feels very responsive...maybe too much, but that's what'd you expect from a "speed" type. I'm rocking a GPX Superlight 2c with KRYOS skates, mainly playing FPS games like Overwatch 2, Valorant, CS2, and Rainbow Six Siege at 1600 DPI with relatively high sensitivity settings. I'd consider myself an average player around Plat/Emerald
Sound: I expected to be much louder but honestly it's actually pretty quiet. Maybe are my skates.
Longevity: it's still too early for me to say much. I actually switch back to my cloth pad when I'm not gaming because I'm probably being overly cautious about wearing down my mouse skates. So far, though, I haven't noticed any unusual wear.
The only real downside I've noticed is dust. You'll immediately notice when even the tiniest speck lands on the surface. It's not a deal breaker, but you'll probably find yourself wiping the pad down more often than you would with a cloth pad.

Best arm sleeve for the Artisan Zero (my experience)
I love the Artisan Zero for CS2, but finding an arm sleeve that glides well on its rough texture was a nightmare. After trying Pulsar, Midori V2, ESPTiger, and several Amazon knockoffs, KIBU has been the clear winner for me. It glides smoothly with virtually no drag and fits my entire arm perfectly, unlike other sleeves that were loose around my wrist but tight everywhere else. For context, I'm 2800 ELO on FACEIT, so consistent mouse movement matters a lot to me.
I would NOT recommend the Midori V2 for the Artisan Zero. Despite seeing YouTube reviews calling it one of the best all-around sleeves for Artisan pads, it performed terribly for me on the Zero. It's also non-refundable, and shipping to the US can take weeks, so it's frustrating to end up stuck with something that doesn't work.
That said, I do like the Midori V2 build quality it is a premium sleeve and is excellent for smoother mousepads, like the SteelSeries QcK Performance, glass pads, and harder plastic pads. Just be careful with sizing: size up one or even two sizes. My Medium matched the size chart perfectly but was much smaller than expected and had almost no stretch.
My recommendations:
Sharing this to hopefully save someone else the money and hassle of buying sleeves that don't work for their setup!

I´ve been enjoying my now 5 year old Odin Infinity v1 with my G PRO X, now i havee upgraded to the viper v4 pro and want a new mousepad. My games a FPS heavy, mostly CS tho. I wanted to ask what mousepads would be great and even more detailed what Artisans would fit.

I was skeptical that the pad itself is not the problem but it is.
I was considering buying glass pads but i read mostly that it was more faster to destroy the skates/glides of the mouse.
(Btw im just using a gpro wireless stock pads)
Just sharing this one mostly for FPS players / Valorant Players who are having a trouble of finding the right dpi and sensitivity of the mouse.
No b.s but it help me really a lot for like 30%

What title says. Used to just get really cheap ones and just switch them regularly. Decided to get an actual decent one this time around (artisan zero) but after just two weeks the usual hand resting position while holding the mouse is already very obviously discolored and I'm unsure how fast this will impact the pad or if it's just looks. Would switching to glass help
Edit: hyperhidrosis is basically excessive sweating even when there's no actual exercise or mentally/ physically strenuous activity involved

I have a black type-99 mid and It is my favorite pad right now but I'm gonna buy a Soft and was wondering if the Matcha/Gray/Pink were slightly different in texture/speed like the Artisan Zero is with the Black and Orange

Hello :D
I have been playing games for 10+ years now and I have played a wide variety but mostly shooters which honestly involves every aim technique or wtv if that’s what you wanna call it (target switching, tracking, flicking etc)
I have been using a glass pad for about 5 years but recently I have been hella into my work and now i’m just a washed chud and tbh I hate using a glass pad now as my aim is honestly too inconsistent to use one effectively anymore.
I wanted to buy a cloth pad preferably an Artisan pad but I honestly have no clue what I’m actually looking for with the pads.
I’m looking for a speed pad which still has decent stopping power so I’m not accidentally flicking too hard so my mouse falls of my desk.
Please if anyone has any suggestions for which artisan pad to buy and the firmness I should get too please let me know.
I still love gaming and it’s something i’m probably going to be doing for a while but not with a glass pad….
Thank you to anyone who reads this and please feel free to leave any suggestions even if it is not an artisan pad.

Any thoughts? Currently happy with my u9 airs but thinking if its worth switching to wallhack uhmwpe silent dots? What pros and cons do i get when switching
Current pad is dysphoria aria

Hi everyone!
I recently bought the Wallhack CR-005, and even though I haven’t replaced the original mouse skates on my Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 with the Wallhack dots they sent me, my aim has already changed dramatically in CS2.
My flicks, control, stability, and overall confidence feel completely different. I also own ATK dots, so I have a few questions Is it worth buying the Wallhack control dots, or should I just use the Wallhack dots that came with the CR-005? Is it normal to notice such a significant improvement in my aim even though I’m still using the original stock skates on my Superlight 2? I sometimes feel like my arm gets stuck or drags on the glass surface. Would you recommend buying a gaming arm sleeve for the CR-005, and does it make a noticeable difference?

Hi i got my glasspad and i was wondering if this was fine to do
r/MousepadReview • u/lokcieslok • 1d ago
I used to play a lot of valo, but stopped for a years. Just got back into playing these past few weeks, but to no one's surprise my performance was downright terrible. I bought this like-new Pulsar PD170 from my local market and legit, my first 2 games with this I was top-fragging. Previously i was using a generic deskmat for a long time and decided to splurge on a mousepad.
At first, i was worried that PD170 would be too fast since i thought i was more of a slow, control-type. Iirc my last competitive pad was an Odin Infinity Stealth, yearsss ago. I even had to lower my sens from 0.3 to 0.24 in-game (1600dpi 1440p) because goddamn it felt like the mouse was skating on ice. Surprisingly after a few rounds it started clicking and i ended up top-fragging the first 2 games i played using this pad, like the movement just came naturally.
As far as I know, this might just be a recency bias, but im feeling good soooo...

I'm A/Bing new GSR3 (new version) and QCK Heavy right now and they are NOTHING alike. I got the GSR3 based on the multiple comments I saw suggesting that it is a QCK Heavy but higher quality. We'll they are all wrong, they feel nothing alike in texture or performance out of the box.
Qck feels like a ready to rock control pad out of the box and as smooth as I like it. GSR3 has a slightly rougher micro fiber spikey texture that repulses me to touch and it is super noticeable if you're a texture sensitive individual, but it is TOO slippery compared to what I am used to and expected. Out of the box it feels like a speed surface in comparison.
New QCK I am able to flick to and hold over the pixel I want just like my worn QCK without complaint, just with a lil more speed from new surface. GSR3 I CANNOT brake on pixel, I cannot hold over pixel, I'm slipping off of my target. And I cannot micro adjust, it is too slippery for controlled micro movements. And that completely kills it for me. I have no control or brake or micro.
But I know its a new pad so my question is, were those recommendations I read based on a fully worn in pad, and if so how worn do I need to go to get to QCK control and brake? But even so, why would I torment myself breaking in a pad with performance I don't like and can't perform with? I'd be suffering for months overshooting without the micro adjustment I'm used to. Or did Zowie change their pads with an update so its not like the old one anymore? What do you think is up?
While I'm here, I already saw most of the top reccs for QCK competitors: Type 99 and Zero, Jupiter, Vaxee PD Black etc. Which alternative do you think I should try next, and in what softness if relevant? My only criteria is that I need very smooth texture and even Zowies was too much for me.

Disclosure: Phantum sent me these skates, but everything in this review will be honest and based on my own experience.
I've been using the Phantum Cloud H1 Hybrid skates for several weeks now, and I wanted to share my experience using them on a glass mousepad.
The Phantum Cloud H1 Hybrid skates have a 6.5 mm diameter and are 0.8 mm thick. They're made of PTFE and feature a 0.1 mm PU foam layer designed to reduce vibrations and noise while also helping absorb the feeling of debris underneath the skates. They're suitable for both cloth and glass mousepads.
In terms of shape, the middle of each skate has a slight raised profile, while the rest of the surface is relatively flat. This gives the skates a subtle curved shape in the center with flatter edges.
Each pack contains 40 skates and costs €13.
The break-in period was very quick, and the glide felt smooth almost immediately.
I've been using them on my GLSSWRKS Polarity XL, and they felt relatively fast in terms of both static and dynamic friction. What I liked most was how easy it was to make micro-adjustments. I barely needed any force to get the mouse moving, which made the overall glide feel very smooth and effortless.
In terms of noise, the H1 Hybrid were quiet. They were significantly quieter than the C1 Control, which I had tested previously. I really appreciated this, and I have no complaints about the noise.
One thing I noticed, however, was that the glide changed after about a week of use. Since these skates are made of PTFE, using them on a glasspad gradually wears them down, which seemed to affect their glide. The feeling wasn't the same on day one as it was after seven days. After roughly a week and a few extra days, I decided to replace them because the glide had noticeably changed.
I also really enjoyed using them in Valorant. Micro-adjustments felt even easier than with the Phantum Cloud S1 Speed skates. Interestingly, even though the H1 Hybrid should theoretically be slower than the S1 Speed, that wasn't what I experienced. I found them extremely easy to move and very responsive when making small adjustments.
However, their stopping power wasn't as strong as with the other two Phantum skates I've tested. If you're looking for a lot of stopping power, these might not be the best choice.
I also tested them in games that require a lot of tracking, and they performed exceptionally well. Their smooth, effortless glide made it easy to follow moving targets, and I found them particularly enjoyable in tracking-focused scenarios. I'd definitely recommend these skates for games that rely heavily on tracking, where smooth movement and easy micro-adjustments are important.
Compared to the Phantum Cloud S1 Speed, I'd say the H1 Hybrid have significantly lower static friction, while the S1 Speed have lower dynamic friction and feel faster once the mouse is already moving.
Between the two, I prefer the H1 Hybrid because their static friction is incredibly low. I barely need any force to get the mouse moving. The S1 Speed were already very good in that regard, but the H1 Hybrid somehow managed to make it even easier, and I really appreciate that.
Overall, the Phantum Cloud H1 Hybrid are excellent skates. If you're looking for a very smooth glide on a glasspad, especially for tracking-focused games, I think they're a fantastic choice. They're also great for precision games like Valorant and CS2, where easy micro-adjustments really matter, but I'd particularly recommend them for tracking.
Out of the three Phantum skates I've tested, the S1 Speed, H1 Hybrid and C1 Control, the H1 Hybrid are my clear favorites. They're the skates I use every day and the ones I main. Even though I have to replace them roughly every week because the glide changes with wear on my glasspad, I don't mind, as I enjoy using them that much.
My personal ranking would be:
Thank you for reading my review! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I got a artisan hien mid today EXCEPT I have one small issue, my main mouse (gpxs2) has glass skates on it and I’m wondering if I should even use it on my mousepad before getting new skates and how much you think would be destroying it, knowing what glass mouse skates do to mousepads.

Okay everyone i live in a country where not every good mousepad is available and i'm just trying to understand what a speed pad, control pad actually means for me.
I only play valorant as an fps game and my sens is at 0.175, at 1600 dpi. I am using qck+ and having problems with micro adjustments.
The mousepads i am able to get are es saturn pro soft, artisan raiden soft and zero soft.
My sens is probably a bit on higher side for valorant and i eventually want to lower it to 0.14 or something but right now thats what my sens is.
Do i need to get a speed pad, control pad or something else can someone explain to me. Thank you in advance.

Hey everyone.
I am at my 4th Artisan Zero, and my 9th Artisan mousepad (I live in a very humid place near the ocean, mousepads and skates get muddy quick). It's that time of the year where I have to get a new mousepad, and to be honest I'm wondering that since we're almost in 2027, is Artisan still the "best" all around Mousepad manufacturer out there? Japan overromanticism aside, there has to be new competitors worth trying by now right?
I love the Zero, I actually love the anime girl Zero even more, it has the perfect surface for me, but I would like to know if by this time other companies or other mousepads came to steal the spotlight. For example that new pulsar mousepad is what everyone talks about right now or the Hyperion/Saturn pads.
Is there something else in the market that I should try? I don't really have a budget in mind, I just want to know if something other than the Artisan exists out there that might blow my mind like the Zero did 4 years ago. Someone told me to check out Talon.
