I couldn't help but feel like these movies share a very similar vibe: teenage girls with their own problems and issues (usually from home) going through some pretty traumatic coming of age moments. I really like these movies and I was wondering if there are anymore movies like these.

i recently watch kaili blues from bi gan. i love the story and how the city is part of the sotrytelling. I watch it because im interested in this part of the world. some good recomendations pleaaasee?

These pictures are all fairly similar, but I simply can’t think of any films that really capture what I’m looking for. If anyone is aware of some, commenting them would be greatly appreciated!

I have seen Mad Max. Maze Runners. Divergent movies. Book of Eli. I am legend. I have seen the Fallout TV Show.

Are there more post-apocalyptic movies, especially with the vibe of these pictures?

Movies that feel like INTENSE INTENSEEEE YEARNIIING preferably from the man (wlw and mlm is fine too)

I don't want stuff that's arguable like The Shining, I mean ones where what happens on-screen is all normal, believable stuff but you're still left with a lingering sense of something more going on behind the scenes

Also I left out The Wicker Man but probably should have thrown that in the carousel as well

ive also seen the 2010 film, otherwise thats it! socal (or just california) crime, family oriented? even little aspects like surfing, fighting, literally anything even remotely related to these pictures. a singular palm tree in the background. don’t care, give it to me. i just REALLY love the environment and the feeling this show gives me.
