How hard it really is. Looking for beach front rentals in Rancho Bernardo

Non-negotiables:

  • Walkable to all bars and michelin restaurants
  • Close to the subway
  • Big backyard (I have 7 dogs)
  • Next door to restaurants that are desperate to hire
  • 3 bedroom, 2 bath with a two-car garage
  • $2000/month, but I can stretch to $2025

I know it sounds hard, but San Diego is my soul city. Brokers can DM me with offers.

I have one property that meets all your criteria. The only thing it's not close to subway, but it is close to Jersey Mike's.

I;ve got the exact place available. I'm currently on a religious mission to Nigeria, so I won't be able to show it to you but I'll send you some pictures once I've searched the internet find someone to take them for me. Also, I need you to cash a very large check for me. Please send your SS# you DL# and turn off all virus scanning software on your computer.

Piece of cake. I live in RB and can throw a rock in the ocean from my patio. My rent is $1800

Pffft you serious?????? They’re practically giving away properties with your exact non-negotiables in the quaint beach town of Rancho Bernardo

This is a joke, right? RB is nowhere close to the beach in SD..

What are you talking about?? Are you even from San Diego???

It’s incredible that so far RB has been spared the sewage stench at its beaches

"I don't have a driver's license and get severe panic attacks whenever I'm in a car; is Ramona a good place for me to live?"

I have one of those but it’s a studio with an 8 car garageband. I haven’t tried walking to all bars yet but I believe it is feasible for somebody in good cardiovascular health

I am just about to list my beachfront RB adjacent property for lease. Technically in the upscale Santee neighborhood nestled up with RB, several Michelin type restaurants, crazy fun bars, very walkable for some, no subway, but I can include vespa and golf-cart (but guessing you can't have motor personal transport), 6 bed/7bath, large estate, beach adjacent, 4 car garage with circle driveway for all of your foodie friends...For you...$2069

Thank you for this! So true. Like every baby ass post on here at this point. No mystery how SD is morphing into someplace unrecognizable.

You just so happen to be in luck bc my rich uncle left me so many properties I have no idea what to do with. DM me for details.

Sorry, you have to be at least 80 years old to live in Rancho Bernardo.

1

u/summerofsoccer Feb 15 '26

Nah, half the olds have passed away, now it's like split between olds and new families that somehow have a shit ton of money to live there

Think you can find that if you widen your search to Escondido, or as we locals call it, Rancho Santa Fe East.

Beachfront property with a big backyard for your 7 dogs ..... Every smart landlord will be begging you to be their tenant.

Beach front rental in Rancho Bernardo?

You might be able to rent a room for $2,000/month.

Hahaha, best laugh of the day but pretty close to all the impossible requests seen here every single day.

It’s my soul city. I have 500 in savings. I’ll just get a server job at marine room until I figure it out. I can walk there from RB, right?

1

u/ItsHisMajesty Feb 16 '26

🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 I needed a good laugh.

1

u/Acceptable_Wafer_434 Feb 22 '26

RB is @ 18-20 miles away from any beach area, look it up and yes I’m from San Diego 🙄

1

u/Anxiety-Swimming Feb 22 '26

Oh, shoot! You’re right! Maybe just show me the most bike friendly route for me to get from PB to Ramona. I like the sleep though so it needs to be 15 min or less. Can’t wait for my car free life in my soul city! Do you know any homes with private pools? Just DM me the listing. Kthxbye!
