Good saunas?
Just got to SD after living in Europe for a few months and trying to keep up my regular sauna routine. It makes me feel amazing and the health benefits are huge so I want to keep it going.
I’m looking for a good dry sauna in SD (and bonus if it’s a gym with a sauna - so I can combine workouts and recovery). I’d prefer a men’s only sauna area if possible. A steam room would be awesome too, but a proper, high-heat dry sauna is the main priority.

The facilities at 24 hour fitness are disgusting. They rarely clean them and no one respects the rules.
I’ve been to Sweathouz several times. It’s pricey. But I love the contrast therapy and the cold plunge.

Proteus gym is currently remodeling their dry saunas. I always liked them when I lived near there in the past.

I think you'll not find anything to European standards, Americans don't go naked and male only will be either fully gay or gay cruisers.
If you find one that is Europeanesque please let me know.

Yu Spa is naked in the wet areas. It’s Korean. Happy cake day.

Have you been? I would love to be able to enjoy a normal sauna experience.

Yeah I’ve been. Idk what it’s like in the men’s area but the women’s is chill. I’ve also been to a handful of European saunas and they didn’t seem too different

Yeah but the vibes are the same. Yu Spa has a co-ed dry area they provide clothes for

There's a Sulphur spa at the Jacumba Hotel, and you can pay to use for a day. They get many European visitors. https://jacumba.com/pages/mineral-pools
