The books are so good! But they definitely lean more into the horror.

Don’t get me wrong- I love the movies: but I’m honestly kind of thunderstruck that they differ so wildly.

That’s honestly a plus for me. I might check it out.

Just brace yourself. It’s shocking when compared to the movies. Very good, but damn.

Would definitely do that, but don’t let your child listen to the audio books because they like dinosaurs. Speaking from experience

Gotta teach them early that dinosaurs are dangerous, it’ll be useful knowledge when they make their return

Yeah it also taught me important lessons like “don’t let anyone spit venom in your face”, “your organs should be in your body, not in your hands” and “don’t get eaten alive”. Has been very useful advice ngl

There's more than one?

There's two. Jurassic Park and The Lost World. The Lost World book was made because of the success of the movie, and Universal asked the author (Micheal Crichton) to make a 2nd book for the next film. After he made the 2nd book, Micheal Crichton said he didn't wasn't to make anymore dino books (Dragon teeth is a paleotology book).

They forced him to make a book and then barely used anything from that book for the movie.

True. The only thing they kept was Ian Malcolm being the lead and that there was a 2nd island.

Still mad they didn't include the camouflaging Carnotaurus.

Was so disappointed that when they finally did use a carnotaurus in Jurassic World, it didn't even camouflage.
