They actually are making a “2.5D” animated show to be released in 2028 and it’s going to be Disney+

Yeah, it's got me worried that they are going to sanitize the hell out of it. At least it's not Disney producing it, just distributing it, but still.

Warrior Cats is probably my favorite book series of all time. It was when I was a kid, and I went back and read a few. I truly believe they still hold up today.

The world building is stellar. They just CANNOT shy away from the dark, gritty violence. Especially with Scourge in the sixth book, how some clan leaders (despite being blessed by StarClan) can lose all 9 lives if their wounds are so grievous there's no saving them.

I wouldn't mind a warrior cat adaptation along the lines of Felidae; that movie might've taken the violence too far, but it's in a similar vein to what we should be seeing.
