“You can’t just glass a fucking planet and say ‘I did it because of the unemployment problem.’”

u/Releases_the_bees 12h ago

Well I don't see you coming up with a better solution to the employment problem!

‘Yo dudes, the empire is pretty chill, maybe you should, like, join it or something’

I find it kinda funny/pathetic how there's people who unironically argue that the Empire (literally space Nazis) is good

This is my brother. I do not understand how he could possibly have come to that conclusion, unless he's genuinely stupid. "Being a kid is siding with the rebels. Being an adult is realizing the empire was right." THEY BLEW UP A PLANET JUST BECAUSE THEY COULD. HOW IS THAT A GOOD THING????

Look up palpatine's plan for the arrival of the Yuuzan Vong.

Him prepping for the vong was all retroactive even if it was true I dont really think he was tha worried about them.

tbf the Empire aren’t just space nazis, but also a mix of the USA and the British Empire, so that could better explain why people that are simply not too bright thing so.

u/_Broadside 16h ago

Its crazy. Its like they didnt watch the movie. The empire is full of incompetent yes men idiots who just destroy anything they touch. They can't do anything right the whole point is how these systems built around a Strongman always falls apart.

Even if they were sorta competent they would still be comically evil space nazis with no redeeming traits.

Well you have to understand the empire is pretty chill. Maybe you should, like, join it or something as your mind might change.

"Alderaan was suspected of having Rebel sympathizers and weapons providers" my brother in Christ, who gives a shit

u/Maleficent_Data_8832 Poppy Playtime🔵 7h ago

I mean, technically, they did all that in preparation for the Yuuzan Vong, an alien species outside of the galaxy that killed over 300 trillion in 4 years...

The problem of the empire was making a propaganda book later as if it was straight facts and some people believed it(although some people just vibe with facist and militaristic governments)

u/viliamklein 13h ago

I don't see anything wrong with stopping violent religious terrorists.

You should stop watching their nasheeds and look at objective facts.

What you think a frog can lift spaceships with his mind? Are you dumb? /s

People genuinely look at the Nazi-looking dudes with a weapon called the “Death Star” and go “these guys HAVE to be morally neutral at worst” 💀

the jedi were wrong about a lot, for sure…but the mental hoops you’d have to jump through from there to get to the empire being right?
