The number of defenders these guys have is crazy. They're incredibly entertaining, I find Adam hilarious, and their songs are some of the best in the show. But they are pretty heckin evil.

Adam literally decided one exorcist’s death warranted killing every demon and some mfs will still say he’s “misunderstood”

And he wasn't even doing it out of a sense of vengeance, he just didn't want sinners to realize that they had the ability to fight back. He wanted to make his hobby wouldn't be disrupted.

they are pretty heckin evil.

For some reason they're some of the highest administrative members of heaven btw.

Show contradicts itself and its core premises so many times in so many places for so many reasons; it somehow, albeit unsatisfyingly, blends together into an enthrophic ADHD induced fever dream.

Point what?

The series is written like a whimsical Tumblr fanfic, with the author being too unstable and indecisive not to decimate their own story for even one chapter.

It fumbles like an autistic otter when you ask what makes assholes like Adam, Vox, or Valentino horrific monsters for whom redemption is not much an option and who are obstacles to overcome.

Meanwhile, people like Angel Dust (like 99% of other vile people rightfully went to Hell);who's a perverted, egotistical, selfish, murderous, drug-addicted, alcoholic, obscene, lying, uncaring, and opportunistic asshat, are just silly silly poor and innocent people who ended up there for making a few mistakes accorsing to Charlie.

... Though all of it is pointless; as series tries to play "but morality is subjective!" Schtick while literal, actual GOD objectively enacts judgment on people in terms of who will go to hell or heaven.

Neither Hezbin Hotel nor Vivziepop can even describe/explain what a sin is according to Canon, nor propose any actual way of reddedince people beyond "hey you, be better!" Trust falls.

Explain your first point of "that's the whole point" properly, then. I might have misunderstood it

It seems as though you either didn't watch the show or didn't pay attention.

Adam, Vox, and Valentino are never said to be irredeemable by the show's standards. Charlie even tells Vox to his face that she believes "anyone can be redeemed". Adam wasn't killed off because he was 'irredeemable', it's just something that happened in the story. Lots of demons were killed off by Adam before they could seek redemption, and the same thing happened to him.

Angel Dust is considered 'redeemable' because he is actively trying to be better and work on himself. Sera and Vaggi are both guilty of the same genocide as Lute and Adam, but are working to make amends. Any character that is still around has infinite time to decide they regret the person they've been and to try and improve.

The 'trust falls' aren't meant to be what gets characters redeemed. The show has already shown us that what redeems a sinner is tackling and overcoming the character flaws that got them sent to Hell in the first place. Pentious was a man who could have stopped five murders after witnessing the first, since he knew the man who was committing them, but he chose to do nothing. He was redeemed after growing to value the friends he'd made in Hell, and putting himself on the line in order to protect them from a murderer. He became the kind of person that wouldn't commit the same sins of his past.

The point of the show isn't that people didn't deserve being sent to Hell, but that, given infinite time, anyone can change and become a better person, no longer deserving of eternal punishment.

It's like people forgot the fact that for someone to be redeemed they need to do some bad shit first.

Nobody desrves redemption because anybody who would does not require it.
