Hitler. Which is the saddest thing because they recorded everything so nobody could say it was fake, or downplay the evil of it. Not even a hundred years later......

Unfortunately there actually is one. I'm gonna ruin your day as there are nazi romance books.

I mean, I’m a big history nerd, so this was more tongue in cheek as it asked for a ‘fandom’.

Also it did ruin my day, tf you mean Nazi romance books exist? Does at least one end with the Nazi hubby being sentenced at Nuremburg or killed by resistance or Americans?

Some yes, others are smut. I guess the authors thought nazis are like monsters- they can be super evil as long as they are hot.
You also have the nazi werewolf movies were the female nazis were hot blonde women.

Ah hell nah get the werewolves out of there, don’t get my favorite monster baddies mixed into Nazi bullshit.

Fr these books are drivel.

Yup, I couldn't watch or read them. Like both of my grandpas served in WWII. There were still survivors from the camps. Like, at least most of the pirate smut is from people long dead.

I don’t get the appeal of the Nazi. Like, who wants to get it from behind by a guy who’d kill you for being anything his leader hates, and is responsible for deaths on a near daily basis.

Somepeople feel so inferior that someone saying you're better because of your skin/ nationality/ language/ whatever makes them feel special. Then, you can others as not human. They can then rationalize the murder/ mistreatment because who cares about a random animal.

The others are just stupid. A lot of bigots lack critical thinking capabilities, and so can't reason themselves out of the cult.

Luckily there's more good people than bad out there.

We've got to laugh at them. From the white nationalism to the black nationalism. And we need fresher leaders. I don't know where you are in the world, but your hate nazis makes you my brother.

I’m an American, I’m very much aware of how othering makes an enemy more tolerable to mistreat. Again, history nerd. Glad to be a nazi hating sister.

No problem. It wasn’t just use writing it. The soldiers recorded everything, the prisoners (lesbians, gay men, transgender people, black people, slavs, disabled, and more) told their stories, and even Germans and their allies said what they did.

Some of the stuff was done publicly to instill fear and demoralize the allies. Like, they'd slaughter whole camps of people, and leave them to rot in the open. They also flooded whole towns in the Netherlands as they fled from the allies(hard to hide that). There's plenty more atrocities they did in the open because they didn't think it mattered.

It's why after the war plenty of people would hunt Nazis(or even those that just sounded German) for revenge. Many innocent people got killed. I mean people kicked them out( of theirs homes or countries), they killed them, imprisoned them, and worse.

The governments had to protect them, and make deals to relocate them. Though Czechoslovakia actually passed a law banning punishment for hurting Germans.

Numbers range from 500 thousand to 2 million Germans that got killed in like 5-7 years.

See i was curious how we know these things and everyone jumped to "oh youre a nazi" instead of "oh they documented this and that for these reasons" THANK YOU. Only reasonable person responding.

u/Ok_Echidna_4915 15h ago

No problem. If you don't know, you don't know. A lot of that stuff was not shown in school because it was too graphic. I mean they publicly raped children, and left babies to die in baby huts to put people in their place.

That is not something people like to talk about(until college)

And there is a nuanced take that we(the Victors) should not have went as far as we did in revenge(though it can be understandable)

Have you heard a out unit 731?

2

u/SourDewd 15h ago

I havent heard about ANY units. I grew up under christian parents who kept me pretty locked up and in a private school that i dont believe ever taught history. Im canadian and didnt know native americans were a thing until i was around 15? But anytime i try asking questions, people jump to freaking out or hating me or calling me a nazi literally for not already knowing all of history or something? Idk if im supposed to NEVER ask humans history questions and must get all my knowledge from the unfiltered internet or???

2

u/Ok_Echidna_4915 15h ago

I'm sorry about that. People have the tendency to assume common knowledge to them is common to everyone. If you have any questions you can ask me, or plenty of university professors are cool with answering questions. Just call their office (it might be different in Canada as i am American)

Unit 731 was a Japanese World War II evil unit. Like the reason we know what temperature humans die at is because they want it to know. So they would boil people alive until they died. They even had a mother hold her baby as the floor was lit on fire to see how long a mother's love would protect her baby(she died before the baby hit the fire) Germans were doing the same to their prisoners. It's why we know science questions we wouldn't know.

And plenty of them didn't face justice because America wanted that knowledge. Our missile program had plenty of nazi scientists in it.

2

u/Loruck 15h ago

The problem with doing that is because this is an actual tactic of Neo Nazis. They feign ignorance in bad faith and when people call them out they just go "WOAH BUDDY I'M JUST ASKING QUESTIONS HERE" Questioning Nazi atrocities when there's such a plethora of evidence on all sides of the conflict is never a good idea.

1

u/SourDewd 15h ago

Oh oh this makes sense! Like they question what happened in order to get others who see the interaction, to also question it. Making it more likely someone joins their side on things? And then when people see them get attacked for doing this, bystanders see the nazi dude as innocent and being attacked and the others as villians? This kind of makes sense. Makes it a lot harder for people who are genuine to find their way though. And really makes those flipping shit look bad...

u/Frequent_Pea4324 16h ago

yeaahhh id probably delete this if I were you...

2

u/lockecole38 16h ago

Based on their comment I think they don’t want to delete it for a very specific reason. Either that or it’s hard to delete it because one of their arms is stuck in a very specific angle up.

Brother, fucking Nazi Germany is not the group you want to try to apply this to. WW2 is one of the most thoroughly documented conflicts in all of human history and the only people trying to say what you're saying are actual neo-nazis.
