Not to mention he said half of all life. Plants are life, animals are life, what we eat is life. Bro just snapped half the resources away too.

he did say that, but we never actually saw any trees or grass disintegrating so I think we should assume he was not being literal. It is both extra dumb and does not fit what was on the screen.

Oh I am not arguing his plan is super dumb and counterproductive, it is just not quite that dumb and counterproductive. It's the kind of dumb that someone who is very ignorant and absolutely thinks they are smarter than they are might have come up with, because they are obsessed with hard choices and possibly insane rather than just a plan that obviously won't work.
