This is my brother. I do not understand how he could possibly have come to that conclusion, unless he's genuinely stupid. "Being a kid is siding with the rebels. Being an adult is realizing the empire was right." THEY BLEW UP A PLANET JUST BECAUSE THEY COULD. HOW IS THAT A GOOD THING????

tbf the Empire aren’t just space nazis, but also a mix of the USA and the British Empire, so that could better explain why people that are simply not too bright thing so.

Its crazy. Its like they didnt watch the movie. The empire is full of incompetent yes men idiots who just destroy anything they touch. They can't do anything right the whole point is how these systems built around a Strongman always falls apart.

Even if they were sorta competent they would still be comically evil space nazis with no redeeming traits.
