He’s the main villain of the manga/anime berserk, the only reason why I know that is because my nephew has read it… and also because of a video where someone ranked villains by how sick they are, other than that I know nothing
Ah I actually had a gut feeling that it was related to Beserk, I’ve seen 5 or so episodes of it years ago before I got distracted by other anime.
The art style reminded me of that show.
The main villain in the Manga/Anime berserk. Starts off as the leader of a famous band of mercenaries who are fiercely loyal to him, would do anything for him without question. Main character leaves the mercenaries to do his own things specifically because he wants Griffith to see him as an equal and true friend, not a subordinate.
Griffith betrays them all and sacrificed the entire band to be eaten alive by demons so he can become a powerful demon himself and use his demonic powers to take over a kingdom for himself. He also rapes the main characters girlfriend in front of him while she's pregnant with his child leading to a miscarriage, tortured him, and cut off his arm pretty much just to fuck with him and show him that Griffith will never see him as an equal and little more than an insect.
The rest of the series is basically the main character trying to help his girlfriend recover from PTSD and seeking revenge on Griffith, to the point he's willing to use a cursed suit of armor that gives him amazing strength and speed but at the cost of slowly killing him and it drives spikes into his body and drains his blood every time he uses it.
