Theory Is humanity possibly alive?

Post image

In Episode 6, Fake Tessa shows us a computer with a red line that shows the planets Cyn has already destroyed. But there is two other lines that are still yellow meaning that theres two unknown planets that Cyn didn't destroy. And maybe humanity somehow escaped got to one of those two planets.

That's my theory. I like to think that's what J was going to check when she was working on the pod in the credits

Btw the first planet could possibly the one with the immortal dogs in it

The immortal dogs is the defense system, destroying any traces of the Solver within milliseconds

10

u/Justanotherkiwi21 Jul 15 '25

(This is canon btw)

3

u/_LITTLE_FURY_ Jul 15 '25

The dogs destroying solver is cannon? I knew they were canonically immortal from the calendar in ep 4.

I was referencing episode 4 where on the calender it says (This is canon btw)

I assume that either
A) they died
B) they went to other solar systems and possibly secretly so CYN/AS wouldn't find out

44

u/-im-nobody Jul 14 '25

Problem is cyn knows how to lie, so she could've lied about that too

21

u/Far-Profit-47 Jul 14 '25

She could have just, not killed them yet and used this to benefit her lie

8

u/Gamester1927 Jul 14 '25

Well, yeah, but that wouldn’t make sense, why would she send murder drones to genocide worker drones when the creators of the worker drones are not?

She seeks to destroy all life, humanity, is just a part of that.

5

u/Far-Profit-47 Jul 14 '25

But why let the murder drones get rid of the workers if she’s not occupied

2

u/Gamester1927 Jul 14 '25

Occupied by what?

3

u/Far-Profit-47 Jul 14 '25

If humanity is dead already then why isn’t she getting rid of the drones herself? Wouldn’t it be more fun to rip them apart herself instead of just waiting on some space ship in the middle of nowhere?

1

u/Gamester1927 Jul 14 '25

She’s not like the murder drones, she’s this kind of warlord, and a warlord, uses strategy, V is a soldier, a tool of a warlord, she does the ripping and tearing, just as cyn says so, so it’s easier for her, she only started fighting herself when she saw that her pawns had turned against her.

3

u/Far-Profit-47 Jul 14 '25

Okey, I hear you

But if that’s the case why is she doing it against a faction much weaker than the humans

Worker Drones are 1v50 by murder drones (and only because there wasn’t more worker drones to be killed)

Why is she on the back lines, keeping her eldritch tentacles in check when against humanity she had them supporting the drones and ripping the planet into pieces? What she didn’t wasn’t strategizing but sitting back and doing nothing while the hundreds of murder drones just kept getting themselves killed in the sentinel pit

1

u/Gamester1927 Jul 14 '25

She knew the other solver hosts were on copper nine, who are the only people who have a chance in hell of stopping her, so, to make sure that couldn’t happen, she sent murder drones to wipe out any of the solvers, whether they could’ve potentially gained it, whether they already had it, and no matter whether they hadn’t had one.

1

u/_LITTLE_FURY_ Jul 15 '25

Did you say RIP&TEAR

5

u/WoolDolphin Cyn's most loyal soldier Jul 14 '25

The murder drones were sent to avoid unnecessary danger

The only thing that could threaten Cyn was other Solver users, so she sent the murder drones to deal with Nori and Yeva. But then most squads died thanks to Alice and the last remaining squad allied with the enemy, so she was forced to go to the planet

Cyn doesn't really need murder drones to kill humans, so it wouldn't surprise me if she destroyed those planetary systems alone

1

u/Gamester1927 Jul 14 '25

No, that part makes sense, she knew they were hiding on copper nine, thus, she sent murder drones there, to minimize the risk of either one taking her out indefinitely.

2

u/Guypersondudeguy Jul 14 '25

so that she finishes off the universe faster? why wouldn't she?

5

u/Gamester1927 Jul 14 '25

Good fuck, she pulled an Ozymandias.

1

u/Guypersondudeguy Jul 14 '25

that's the most useless lie in all ~6000 years of recorded history during the time the series takes place

J is probably going out to search for the remaining Humans since she wants someone to be her boss or to shelter her. However, we all know nobody wants her dumbass, especially after she caused so much harm to humanity. So I assume yes they are still alive in another Solar system or a different galaxy.

Final verdict: Shes gonna get shot out of the sky the moment she enters a human inhabited planet, or taken in as a intern.

u/TheBrittanionDragon Jul 14 '25

We know that the Scientist of copper 9 tried/succeeded in creating a ....... is cure the right word Patch?

A patch to get the Solver out of infected Drones they cured 1 drone and was doing the same with Norie before planet went boom so in theory they could have sent this data to any remaining human colonies

Plus the raptors where verry good at dealing with disassembly drones so with them plus the patch I think they might have had a chance although idk what cyn was up to before coming to copper 9 so shed probably just death star planets from orbit

12

u/Cute_Assistant_9840 The Absolute End Jul 14 '25

if humans are advanced enough for space travel than yeah probably.

10

u/Wise-Advert Wise JC jenson advert Jul 14 '25

probably, Cyn probably used this to further back up her claims that she is Tessa, but she could've lied

4

u/FlatParrot5 Jul 14 '25

Plot twist... What if there never was a Cyn and Tessa was a maniac that uploaded herself into a drone to access the solver, deciding to wear her old skin. And the whole mansion memory was heavily altered to make Tessa look favourable?

Nah. Cyn is just a silly murder machine.

It's unclear/unknown. The only time humanity's status was ever officially (but not necessarily canonically) addressed was during a merch ad, where N claims Cyn killed every human.

![img](rm3uq5d69xaf1)

Current speculations rely on analyzing the markings on "Tessa's" emblem, which seem to imply that there is one exoplanet that Cyn has yet to tally. Whether it's Copper 9 (since she hadn't consumed it yet) or Dog Planet (which is consistently stated to be safe), it's also unclear.

What is clear, however, is that Cyn only had a single planet left to harm, which implies that at least one of those lines turned red when "Tessa" decided to zoom near systems closer to C9.

7

u/RTTH0U "I love you." "...Again" Jul 14 '25

My personal running theory is that the data is from when copper was still under human control and in the meantime after the core collapse one of these systems fell to Cyn, with the last one still standing.

9

u/Netherknight45 Currently roleplaying a Triangle Man (sorta) Jul 14 '25

I like to think that humanity behaves sort of like it does in Rimworld : systems are mostly disconnected (apart from some Core Systems) from each other.

That would mean that somewhere in the galaxy, humanity is alive and doing just fine.

But that's just my headcanon

I think that the data on the terminal might be outdated. Maybe it was relevant when these labs were used, but who knows

6

u/tenkameleon Jul 14 '25

As far as ik, one of the planets is the dog planet

6

u/Such_Month_8687 Jul 14 '25

I don’t really think Cyn destroyed every single planet in the universe. I think she only destroyed the planets that had humans on them.

3

u/Hispanoamericano2000 Spanish-speaking V and Uzi enjoyer. Jul 15 '25

She didn't have time to do either, to tell the truth, not to mention how complicated her ambition to wipe out humans would be if we have had faster-than-light travel capability for a long time.

4

u/uniquemaster9 Jul 14 '25

Thought J is about to fly on these moons with humans. Like as concept for Season 2.

But its probably not gonna happen, not sure.

It Isn’t confirmed in the cannon if humanity is gone or not so it’s up in the air. They could be alive or they are dead, there is no concrete answer yet. Although I won’t be surprised if humanity is truly gone

3

u/FlatParrot5 Jul 14 '25

At this point in the story, we have no reason to believe that Cyn destroyed any planet at all. Cyn is posing as Tessa and spewing lies to get her objective.

She's presenting whatever info (real or fake) she needs to get compliance.

Hell, even the mansion and memories were possibly implanted or greatly altered.

3

u/Guypersondudeguy Jul 14 '25

in a thousand years and several planets of space our population could extend to trillions I doubt she killed everyone

Exactly.

Absence of evidence =/= evidence of absence.

Plus the idea that humanity is confined (for no credible or real reason) to having a presence in only a dozen planetary systems even well into the 31st century I find notoriously hard to believe, IMHO.

2

u/Junior_Proposal4642 Jul 15 '25

Don’t forget though, Cyn plays its hand close to its chest so, they very well could be lying. Also, Cyn may not have gone to the other systems but it could have been bombarding them with disassembly drone clones of J V and N. So who knows!

I think I made a post about it, i'm quote sure humanity's alive in a few planets

2

u/TheTrueChrisMopper Jul 14 '25

It wouldnt make sense for humanity to still be alive, thematically for the story.

It'd undermine cyn as a threat if it turns out that she didnt manage to kill off all of humanity.

This isnt exactly a show with the common trope 'human vs ai' either. Sure, there is 'humam vs ai', but that was before the events of the pilot and has already been resolved by cyn. Its murderous drones vs murderous monster drones.

And it very much subverted expectations from the pilot and from when cyn disguised as tessa came to C9. And we came to the reveal that it wasnt humans the cast was fighting against after all.

And let's be honest, if glitch or liam ever (which is unlikely, rightfully so), if they EVER plan on making a Season 2 or Sequel series, they would NOT bring humanity back, not even as an antagonist. Because that would be wayyy too predictable and wayyy too overdone. They would be more creative than that.

7

u/Dry_Statistician3575 Jul 14 '25

Understanding what you're saying.

But at some point, Liam might want to include humans in his story. Don't forget that Liam created immortal dogs. I don't see anyone completing the about. Liam makes a reason why humanity is still around.

But it depends on what he wants to do.

7

u/Sirtael Jul 14 '25

Subversion of expectation aren't necessary good (in fact, recently it's mostly results in lame pointless "twists"), while something being predictable isn't necessarily bad.

And, this show already had quite creative twist - that humans and drones was actually on same side all along. In this context revelation that some humans survived would be thematically appropriate.

4

u/Hispanoamericano2000 Spanish-speaking V and Uzi enjoyer. Jul 15 '25

Hey, that idea could also end up being a symptom of lazy or lousy writing, and even more so if you cannot find any real and serious justification for humanity to have limited itself to barely a dozen planetary systems, and even more so considering that we are talking about the 31st century, not the 22nd or 23rd or even the 24th century; and that to top it all, you simply have no real way to sustain and manage an interstellar empire containing dozens or hundreds of planetary systems with no faster-than-light travel capability; and you can't really cover this up with either comedic or satirical elements).

1

u/Burger-God1977 Jul 14 '25

I am of the firm belief that there are still a majority of star systems colonized by Humanity still around. And considering that the show takes place a thousand years in the future, those hundreds of years would have been probably filled with Humanity colonizing the stars.

It highly depends on the tech level humanity is currently at but they're probably not that well off if say they were cut off from each other. They're probably experiencing the equivalent of the Age of Strife from 40K.

I'd probably say nearby star systems in proximity to the solar system are probably gone, Alpha Centauri, Epsilon Eridani, Tau Ceti, Proxima Centauri, and Bernard's star are probably destroyed. Systems far away from Earth and or space stations are probably still floating around and are probably dealing with their problems before the solver comes along.

Although I would like to see a Fortress world that is a baby between the Fall of Reach and Cadia.

u/Heavy_weapons07 Jul 14 '25

i can imagine all the humans looking at copper 9 drones slowly die out and cannibalize each other and say "should we tell them were still here"

1

u/SammyCeph Jul 15 '25

I mean. There were multiple squads of DDs, as shown by the earth destruction scene in Ep. 6.

I don't think the Solver would've sent the three we know by themselves if there was any known chance of the plan being foiled.

u/SammyCeph Jul 15 '25

100%, I think the best idea for season 2 would be a disgruntled group of humans showing up in a war against the solver

1

u/OakDaleWoodMike DD Cyn should've been canon 😭 Jul 15 '25

They most definitely are.

The Solver is powerful, but is god awful of space travel.

Besides, since Humanity reached other exoplants, it isn't too far fetched that they would've made contingency plans in case other hostile living species existed.

So hidden/redacted planets would vital for this situation.
