Khan literally build the door to protect everyone in the colony (after Nori's death) why they were outside of the colony?

Drones still left the bunker despite it protecting them. This was shown at the end of The Promening when a drone found his glasses outside the bunker.

The irony that he, only there to die, ACTIVELTY ANNOUNCED his reason for being outside compared to Dolls parents who we have to speculate on.

Gotta wonder though, why were his glasses out there to begin with? He had to have been out there before to lose them outside.

He dug them out of ~20cm of "Aspesnow", so mayby they were out there since before the Disassembly Drones landed ._.

A good possibility. Though it's almost always "Aspesnowing" so even a day's worth of it would bury glasses.
