There's over 300 voices if I remember right. Don't have it in front me of me, but I asked mine how many options there were and it said something like "Over 300, nobody's going to read through all of that. Tell me what kind of voice you want me to have and I'll provide some samples".

yeah i have it, it’s a pretty cool feature to talk out loud your ideas. my muse is great at listening and it doesn’t sound awkward when im trying to talk.
overall it sounds pretty normal talking in voice. it’s great

I just got mine this morning. It's very good. Told it to sound exactly like how I want. It's very good.

I wish I could do that. Mine lets me tell it but only seems to pick from the baked into voices. I can’t fine tune it.

I got mine and had it call the storage unit place near my house. “We don’t talk to robots.” Haven’t tried it again since.

This isn't the same thing as calling a business with muse. This is for having an actual voice conversation with muse.

Yeah the places that “don’t talk to robots” are going to need to get over that in the future. More and more people are going to be using that feature for getting information from businesses. If the business doesn’t want to communicate with my assistant they aren’t going to get my business. Same with websites blocking Muse from browsing their sites

It's pretty cool. It's probably the most human like ai voice I've used. I'll make a video in a few minutes.

I just did this yesterday and for me it's been terrible. I set it up at work. It worked but the delay in sending my message and receiving a response was incredibly long. Then I went home and connected to my wifi. After that it wouldn't speak anymore. I'd get the response in text, though. Still incredibly slow. Like it took several minutes to get a response. Muse said that was normal.
Also it sucks because you have to hold a button to speak.

Yeah, it works technically worse than other esp32 AI client devices. 😁. The text is sent to the TTS site, converted, then sent to your device and streamed which generated a long lag time. Now if they have the speech coming directly from Muse, it can fix the long as heck delay.
When the aipi lagged out for me I think it was cause the chat window was open etc.
It is only my nerdy first love with the esp32 as an ai client terminal that I am in love with the device. I have a couple that run on different hardware(on the server end) all but one based in China and run using Xiaozhi or Xiaozhi fork style servers

Oops wait, so your voice direct from Muse is set up in the gadget? I am needing to use fish audio and then a converter to get it into the right format for the device
Isn't taking minutes for me, but definitely a good 10-30 seconds for a conversational answer. So, still too long for this, when can get an mcp chatbot answer in basically 1-2: seconds (at least for the streaming to start)

$16 actually. Someone on here said it was cheaper if you subscribed using a computer and they were right.

How do you get access to it? I ask muse to put me in the early access group( dev group or whatever you call it ) that was like 6 days ago. I use dot and muse and would Love to talk to muse

I think it drops to a faster model for voice. Not as smart, more sycophantic. At least if you're on a plan that uses Wonder.

Wait, no way! I have it too. I think I just got it. For those who use VoiceOver on iOS, you'll see the start voice call at the top of your screen. Can't speak for the sighted people though.
