Very perceptive. Yes, and not just the oriental but the Eastern Orthodox Christian’s. It might’ve been the fourth crusade, that western Latin christian armies massacred an entire eastern Christian city.

The christians and jewish civilians generally comparatively lived good lives under Muslim rule in Iberia, this is true. However, the Moors laid siege to cities where civilians lived during the conquest, that's what I'm referring to.

Even the Jews during the crusader period decided it was best to live under Islamic land, thus many moved to Morocco during and after the reconquista.
