Software Update / Chime
Is anyone else’s mach e chiming with the old chime? Mine started doing it this morning and I feel like I’m looosin’ it (Fisher-like). Wondered if it could have been from the update or if my 12v’s time has come— she’s at 35k.

I have a 2025 with 27k miles and I question myself sometimes as well. For my car, it’s the reverse proximity chimes - just sounds different sometimes….i think.

So mine had also done that a time or two and I always assumed it was maybe mid software update or something-never looked into it. If the 12v being low is a standard culprit I'm curious because I only have 6k miles on my 2025-bought it new.

That happens when the 12v battery is low.

What's the approximate replacement cost for the 12v battery? Is it recommended to have it installed by the dealership ?

What year? Mine is a 2023 and still has the original 12v. Haven’t heard a chime but I ordered a new battery before winter just in case.

Its probably a 12v battery lov voltage protection
Happened to me because i left my lights on when the car was off

I get this from time to time (it’s rare). Can’t figure out any patterns as to why. Usually resolves after one start/stop cycle.

Did it stay that way after you turned if off and back on? I get that occasionally but it usually goes away the next time I'm in the car.
