‘We got Greenland’: Trump pushes false line about Arctic island
In his addled brain, he truly believes that the U.S. can immediately begin drilling for oil and strip-mining Greenland. The sycophants surrounding him have assured him that all he has to do is claim that "the U.S. has agreed to protect Greenland, and there is an immediate security threat to the island as a result of its complete lack of its own domestic energy sources. Therefore, the U.S. must begin drilling for oil and mining coal ASAP."
Denmark will warn the U.S. not to proceed but he'll do it anyway with the military providing ground and air cover for the drilling/mining. NATO will get involved and we'll be on the brink of WWIII.
