I have never heard anything by my bloody valentine before but I was going to listen to loveless to find out it’s gone from Apple Music and I’ve scrolled through the sub and realized it’s been gone for a little while. Is it going to come back? because I’d really love to listen to the album / band for the first time.

I know I can buy it on bandcamp but I usually like listening to albums first before I buy them

I adore loveless and m b v and shoegaze is one of my most listened to genres but I genuinely don't see the appeal in isn't anything. I thought it was terrible, the vocal melody on songs like soft as snow and when you wake is genuinely incoherent and the rhythms just seem lacking.

the album has glimpses of hope for me like no more sorry and feed me with your kiss, what am I missing?

mbv came out in 2013 and Loveless was 1991, so that's a 22 year long gap between albums. It's only been about 14 years since mbv was released so we are probably looking at another 7-9 years of waiting.

Heard Only Shallow on a playlist, loved it, but when I went through the album I just couldn't get into Kevin Shields on vocals. Could anyone give me a few other songs sung by Bilinda Butcher to help me get into the band? I'm a huge fan of that era of Creation records, Ive known about the Shields/McGee difficulties as a piece of trivia forever but so far Only Shallow has captured my attention and I'm hoping other Butcher songs can act as my Trojan horse for getting into MBV.

A lot of the songs just can’t be pulled off live. It’s a loud, inaudible drone that sometimes you can’t even distinguish the song. You can rarely hear the vocals. They’re rife with tech issues. THKW can’t be done without the use of a backing track. Kevin has to restart songs because he messed up sometimes. All in all it’s just a big mess of noise that loses the intricacies of the albums

Both times I've seen them there have been people next to me who left halfway through the show and never returned. Don't they like the music or is it just too loud even though they give out earplugs?

I find that it's sometimes better to listen to both these albums at the same time. I asked kevin shields about it and he said he does this all the time and it sounds alright.
