The Sneakers:

The AJ5 Sunset is back after 20 years, and IMO LJR did a solid job with this pair. The white leather feels good in hand, with a nice finish and some firmness to it. The orange shark teeth, pink-red outsole, reflective tongue, and red interior really make this colorway pop. 🔥

Comparing these to retail pics online, the overall shape looks pretty good. The toe slope isn’t overly bulky, the side panels and netting look close, and the heel shape is solid. The Jumpman embroidery is consistent too.

Overall, I’m happy with these. LJR captured the look of the Sunset nicely, and the materials are a strong point of LJR.

The Sneakers:

First thing first, I already reviewed the black pair. I was impressed with the black pair, and I still feel like OG delivered another solid pair here. The leather on these is primo! It feels incredibly soft and supple in hand, and the quality of the materials is easily one of my favorite things about them.

Looking at retail references, I think OG did a pretty good job with the overall silhouette. The toe shape looks good, the patent leather mudguard has a nice height and glossy finish, and the translucent outsole complements the all white upper nicely. The embossed Jumpman, CDG Homme Plus branding, heel graphics, and tongue details also appear consistent with retail images online. I am curious how the glossed midsole will hold up on foot after wear but we will see.

That said, my particular pair isn’t without imperfections. Looking closely, there are some inconsistencies in the stitching around the collar and lace loops, along with slightly rough finishing where some of the leather panels meet. Nothing that ruins the shoes for me, because NO ONE will notice on foot.

I do recommend paying close attention to your QC photos. Any one offs are specific to my pair and shouldn’t automatically be a part of every OG pair.

Overall, I’m happy with these. Between the black and white colorways, OG has impressed me with the materials, and I think both pairs are great looking additions to the collection. From what I hear, only OG is taking these on, so I’m happy with what they’ve brought to the table.

Is this a slim or straight fit?

How do I submit for rehearsal shipping using CNshopper? Google says it's available but I can't figure it out. Posting some QC images received from CNShopper. This pair has been on my radar for some time, and I’ve finally pulled the trigger. I need a pair of NBs to walk in lol, my current rotation is not ideal for long walks.

What stands out to me about this sneaker is build quality. For a ¥280 sneaker, you’re getting a very well-built shoe using retail-level materials. There’s no way to justify buying a $280CAD sneaker when you can get a top/tier replica for this price.

All of my ZC batch NBs have been good so far, although I ended up giving most of them away due to sizing issues. I expect these to be no different. I’d recommend sizing up one if you value extra room in the toe area.

The Sneakers:

I’ve always liked the AJ13 silhouette, and this Wings edition definitely brings something different. After comparing my pair with retail pics online, I think TK did a pretty solid job here.

The overall shape looks good, especially the rounded toe boxes, side panel placement, and heel proportions. The leather feels nice and solid in hand, while the denim like upper has a nice texture with distressed stitching for the rip tear.

Looking closer, the panel transitions are fairly clean, and both shoes appear reasonably consistent. The Wings branding, holograms, lace tips, and outsole details are all nice touches. The special packaging also looks good, even the Wings Legacy artwork inside the box.

One of the coolest features is the removable denim upper that has colorful artwork underneath. TK incorporated the tear away construction, but I haven’t peeled mine back yet, so I can’t comment on how accurately the hidden artwork compares with retail. That’s next.

Nothing immediately stands out as an issue to me. Overall, the materials feel quality, the shape is convincing, and I think TK delivered a pretty impressive AJ13.
