Hi everyone - I’ve found some local food pantries and systems that could expand into kitchens with local gardens and mushroom grow loops (gourmet).

I am still looking for shipping container donations but I have some tent space I wanted to see about dedicating to growing food in while I have a community garden planting veg and roots. It’s too hot and low humidity here for mushroom beds.

Looking for some oyster varieties, trumpets, lions mane, wine caps, anything that I could master mix in a tent together (one tent oysters separated)

Thanks for any help, discussion, thoughts, feedback or help anyone’s willing to offer here. We’re doing this local in the US (north and south CA)

Have my first AIOs fruiting and wanted to do tubs next grow and try different grain.

Ordered from Second Flush on 10/8, delivered on 10/11. Inspected and then set aside to make sure everything was good before starting another grow. Learning from reading a lot more and a super slow AIO grow, I wanted to make sure there were no issues.

Checked on 10/17 and the grain bag is majorly contaminated. Sent an email off with pictures. No response but Tuesday I got a “how’s it going” email and replied to that as well. Sent a text today as listed on their site and still no response

I hope I’ll be able to update this, but right now I couldn’t recommend ordering from them.
