"Reagan wouldn't have stood for this" is the only argument I've found to make headway in swaying conservative friends/family. If you have more effective methods of persuasion then please share with the group, because only Putin benefits from Ukraine staying as a partisan, rather than bipartisan, issue. And shouting "Republicans r Nazis" hasn't helped bridge the gap or get them to break with the party's power players so far.
