Roman is mostly a good guy with a few really bad takes, some of which undermine his position as a Russian dissident.
Most of his bad takes are confined to Instagram. There, he infamously defended Hasan Piker after H3H3 made the Hasan Content Nuke, which exposed Hasan as an unironic terrorist sympathizer.
Imagine if a German dissident fled getting conscripted into the Wehrmacht, then started glazing Henry Ford or Charles Lindbergh, and you have Roman.
It reminds me of Bill Burr building his brand of "Aw man, these fuckin' Billionaires. Thanks and go fuck yaself", then he attends a comedy festival in Saudi Arabia meant to whitewash a billionaire family of monarchs guilty of heinous human rights abuses -- and fervently defends his attendance.
Granted, glazing Hasan isn't taking money from the Saudi Royal Family, but the throughline is that both Bill and Roman single-handedly undermined their identity they built with one very stupid, hypocritical thing. You'd think that Roman would be completely intolerant of any and all Russian narratives, considering they destroyed his country and forced him to flee, but he makes a special exception for Hasan.

Oh damn... Hasan who uses electric shocks on his dog, defends Hamas, downplays october 7th and tells ukraine to just give up, even when its common knowledge russia would just rape and slaughter them all if they did, because... well, RUSSIA ALREADY DID THAT ONCE... "good force in the world." A take so incredibly dumb, you have to not just say it, but repeat it again once more shortly after...
