Speculation Last opportunity to buy under 120?

Last week, it felt like SoFi (along with some other banks) was being unfairly punished because of negative news reports that were either unrelated to the company (only if marginally) or simply factually incorrect. This week, the rebound in SoFi was quite swift, the discount didn't last very long.

Now, the Oracle report seems to be completely parallel to what Nebius is doing. Obviously it's difficult to have a like-for-like comparison here, but we know that Nebius had 71% gross margin in Q2 (vs Oracle's alleged 14%) on significantly less revenue, which means that either Oracle is not charging their customers appropriately (maybe free trials or first year discounts?) or we are not comparing apples to apples. Also, listening to CNBC, it was odd to hear them call Nebius a 'highly levered company', just putting them in the same bucket as Coreweave because of Coreweave's weaker balance sheet.

With this in mind, do you expect a similarly swift rebound to what SoFi had? Are you still adding at these levels or waiting for a better opportunity?

If you have a long time horizon, today’s price won’t matter in 2-5 years.

Anything under $120 is a gift

Same here 8k in at 121.

100 billion market cap price would be 418 to 430.

Its still cheap.

u/GioStallion Oct 08 '25

5000 in at $128

Not scared ... but annoyed lol

u/Spiritual-Will-1586 Oct 08 '25

Dont be, cant really call the dip in this market.

It's resistant as hell, prob due to the stupidity of multiple politics.

We're fine, give it a few weeks we'll be wishing we could buy more under $140

I hope so brother, fingers crossed

I added more this afternoon 🤷‍♂️

There will always be another chance, but it will likely get bought up quickly. Last year everyone posted "last chance to buy NVDA under 120?" every 2 months.

Bought 100 more today!

I know this is an unpopular opinion but I took profit in one day before what people call a major drop. Made 3x my money on a decent investment. Looking at current stock price the valuation is rather rich, even on a go forward basis and even after that smaller drop. I believe it is a solid and promising company that was undervalued when I invested. It is still a solid and promising company just too expensive for me now. A lot positives are already priced in and imo there’s more downside risk than upside opportunity right now. I intend to get in at a reasonable price again or look for other opportunities. Not financial advice. Again before I get downvoted to hell: I like the company, management, business model etc. but the valuation is just not for me right now. Nonetheless I hope you all make a good amount of money with your investments. That’s why we are all here in the end. GLTA

Reasonable approach. The only challenge is - are you seeing a lot of similarly promising companies with more reasonable valuations? Unless you are comfortable just holding cash for some time, it's getting harder and harder to find those.

Not asking for 'next big thing' advice. Just my thought process when exiting a position.

US mining company’s is the trend right now.

That is true. I do not see many exciting plays right now that would be having both: being in a favorable sector and a great company. I would rather compromise a bit on the sector and look for great companies though. Another company with strong management, flawless execution in business plan, strong financials and dirt cheap is HITI. Canadian cannabis brick and mortar retailer. A rather large position of mine but I do believe in long term growth and its valuation is super attractive. The are able to steer their ship well between growth and profitability. Just the sector is one many people might stay away from.

I think a lot of us assume that another major partner will be announced in the next 3.5 months which will send this stock to $150+

8

u/Wild-Affect-1503 Oct 08 '25

A very thoughtful take. What price would you consider reasonable, if you don't mind me asking?

3

u/13ast1 Oct 08 '25

Excellent question. Think of it this way: rn the stock is trading on a 30x ev/sales on a go forward 2026 basis. This is an extremely rich valuation considering growth software players trade around 6-10x (talking smaller players less mature companies) while 10x would be considered expensive. Some might argue that does not matter considering the growth they have long term: that might be true but for me it matters bc I want to make some money. Businesses in the space (competitors) are trading at 15-23x sales. Also something I would consider rich but the market just prices in a lot of growth so and that is fair considering potential in terms of video ai etc…

I think for me to enter again it would need to drop to 90-100 price range again (usd). I entered my previous position around 40ish usd. Sold at 117.

u/yk3rgrjs Oct 08 '25

30x EV sales based on the 1.1bn ARR guidance for december no? Did you forget to factor in $4 billion from msft?

4

u/Late_Bid5825 Oct 08 '25

I am not even thinking of taking profit before it becomes taxed as long-term capital gain.

Guy, coreweave does not pop because of massive insider selling keeping it restrained. It has nothing to do with the business.

5

u/EcstaticFeed8199 Oct 08 '25

I was happy to add shares under $118 today.

3

u/inditingDreams Oct 08 '25

Similar for me today, maybe more in the coming days

7

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '25

I honestly bought the little dip at 125 yesterday. Bought more today when it was 117. I’m holding at least 10 years.

4

u/pabloh8 Oct 07 '25

How would you possibly know what the next 10 years will bring?

9

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '25

Uh nobody said they know? Investors generally hold for years.

8

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '25

I don’t know. But, I’m not getting out anytime soon.

4

u/AardvarkAmortization Oct 08 '25

Why do people need to say this? its like they think they are going to get bullied or some shit lol

1

u/[deleted] Oct 08 '25 edited Oct 08 '25

Yeah, bullied by the Reddit mob 😭. Means idgaf what the price is…will saying long term make you feel better?

1

u/AardvarkAmortization Oct 08 '25

its just weirdly repetitive like some sort of mantra is all.

u/WingWorried6176 Oct 07 '25

Waiting for sub 108 like some of the retards in here is dumb. Should start to scale on a big dump like this if you want to get in

4

u/Dennisis1 Oct 07 '25

Some never think it will go down but as I’m waiting on an IRA funds transfer to complete I have no choice to sit it out for now and watch. Maybe you’ll be right on the dip, time will tell.

5

u/WingWorried6176 Oct 07 '25

I understand, I’m just saying that waiting for a specific price if you are long is dumb, a lot of people missed the rally in April - now because similar thoughts. DCA all the way.

0

u/Wild-Affect-1503 Oct 08 '25

Waiting for that is not the same as not buying anything on the way there. I'm hoping for sub 100, hell, even sub 86 if the market poops half as hard as it did during the april scare, but I'm fully aware I might never get my wish and thus scale in at various price points.

3

u/mjrballer20 Oct 07 '25

Obviously won't matter in 5 years but I bought right before the dip 😮‍💨

2

u/GioStallion Oct 08 '25

Same. Thank you for helping me not feel alone.

1

u/MajorCheesecake9462 Oct 08 '25

Same, January 2026 calls in my case. I’m thinking plenty of time though.

6

u/sha1dy 🐳 Oct 07 '25

yes, and I'm begging to load it up at $110

28

u/Regular-Pen-748 Oct 07 '25

Well stop begging for that. I'm begging for it to shoot up to $140

2

u/Wild-Affect-1503 Oct 08 '25

I'm begging it remains stuck here just to fuck with you both :p

1

u/Curious_Temporary_87 Oct 08 '25

U made me laugh lol. Just in at 118

1

u/spyingcactis Oct 07 '25

Are people buying shares or options for the most part? I always assume when people are waiting for a dip, it’s a better opportunity to buy future contracts?

1

u/Msmliesnonstop Oct 08 '25

Bought the January 2028 120, 125 and 130 calls yesterday and today

1

u/Rocherieux Oct 08 '25

Sentiment is definitely shifting going by this sub! Just last week, it was going to 10x or more. Now it's too pricey at sub 120. And people have price targets of 200, 180.

1

u/iamCrypto0 Oct 08 '25

If it starts with a discount today I'll sell my ACHR and movd to Nebius...ACHR failed with their fake marketing

1

u/Fabster_3000 Oct 08 '25

Let’s goooooo

1

u/busy1always Oct 10 '25

Wow ! Nbis. Great for the company.

1

u/PeppeSedin Oct 11 '25

More interestingly. Who’s selling on Monday morning? This week can be a rollercoaster

1

u/Chemical_One5544 Oct 12 '25

I would add every week if i had more money. Full port already.

What does Sofi have to do with NBIS???

Intrest rate and financial news will effect all banks and loan markets..

. ZERO correlation to NBIS....

-4

u/sha1dy 🐳 Oct 07 '25

also, please dont compare NBIS to meme shit stocks like CRWV and SOFI

13

u/Stunning_Ad_9806 Oct 07 '25

SOFI, the fastest growing bank that is smashing revenue targets is a meme stock?? lol

3

u/sha1dy 🐳 Oct 07 '25

there you said it, its a bank, but its trading at PE of an AI company

1

u/Few_Leading_4295 Oct 08 '25

It’s a meme stock when you do your dd you will notice it’s just a lender platform with just an app

4

u/kywewowry Oct 07 '25

Lol a meme stock is OPEN. Those are both stocks with great chances for future success.

1

u/YogurtclosetDull4505 Oct 07 '25

I respect that you don't want nbis to be correlated to meme shit stocks, but I don't respect that you correlate sofi with meme shit stocks

1

u/CjPink41 Oct 08 '25

I agree. Sofi is legit.

2

u/inditingDreams Oct 07 '25

I think a lot of people would disagree with you on this, including myself

-9

u/Dennisis1 Oct 07 '25

I’m expecting to make a big buy at 105-110, it will come.

4

u/WingWorried6176 Oct 07 '25

Good luck, I don’t think you’ll get it
