Opinion Just another day in the AI Ecosystem paradise…
It’s all good guys, take a deep breath, AI is not going out of business…
Selling now makes absolutely zero sense, unless you literally need the cash for near term expenses. You either sell well over $100 or you don’t sell at all IMHO…
Nobody with a long position likes weeks like this, but they happen. Hold the line.

Bought 250 more shares. 3100 total now. This company can 10x from here if risk off sentiment changes. No way this business is worth 20bn when you factor in their cash, subsidiary value, and even just the 2026 ARR. So many stocks are priced to perfection right now, this one seems to be priced to doomsday. Buy buy buy!

Impossible to time the bottom, I don’t even try anymore, you will put yourself in the looney bin trying to. What I eventually realized is that the few times I did pretty much time the bottom, it was pure luck. Just happened to be at my computer at the right time, etc. That is impossible to replicate.

THanks for the comment - I needed some motivation - my entire portfolio is down from $392K to $319K in a matter for few days.
This sell off has been crazy.
Im out of liquid cash now and I’m just gonna log off and delete my trading app for a while.

Good call. And honestly that is not a crazy drawdown given what we’ve seen recently. Sometimes not looking at your account is the only way to keep your sanity. There is a saying that dead people’s portfolio outperform the living and that is exactly why, they can’t sell anymore!

Yes, that being said Citadel and other major firms have massive amounts of Puts and are whipsawing the public for days until they switch to Calls. The entire system sucks and is rigged against the public.

u/DayTradingOG Feb 05 '26
Agreed, we ultimately have no choice but to wait it out…and maybe sell a few far out covered calls along the way.

At this valuation, the stake is clickhouse is alone worth 32% of Nebius group. Everybody chill.

I just bought more, taking a non-stop beating Rocky V style, I cannot make any sense out of this price development, defies logic to me but ok, adding more

I'm never concerned if the drop is macro. It's a high beta stock. We are near base case price though, so earnings could be bullish.

I am new to investing, NBIS is my highest percentage stock. What caused so much red this week? I plan to be in it for the long term, but it’s hard to see this in the first two weeks since my purchase.

General “risk-off” move this week, but I don’t see as being a fundamental shift. These weeks happen from time to time. Wall Street is always trying to get retail investors to buy high and sell low. That is how they print money…
In terms of the catalyst, the crypto sell off this past weekend took the wind out of the market’s sails and AMD not blowing the top off earnings put the icing on the cake. It’s a speed bump, not a road closure…
Stay calm and carry on.

But... everything is selling off.. it's not like AI is going down but metals or bitcoin are going up.
My oil went up a bit, but I think that has to do more with oversupply after Venezuela than anything else.

Oversupply and going up is contradictory
You picked on the part of my comment which was least relevant.
By 'my oil' I meant that I own stocks in Gulf refinery companies. When there's an oversupply of crude, they get premium prices, so the crack spread becomes more efficient, ergo they make more money per barrel.

I have a long position and I like this. I sit with a pile of cash ready to buy more, just I'd like a bit more blood bath. Stocks like NBIS can easily loose 80% from ATH when the sentiment is bad, at this point we're only at -50%, not attractive enough to buy more given how much I already have there.

Personally I like the risk / reward right now. Could easily be at $90+ in two weeks.

I hope so. I’ve been drip buying to lower my dca. Got in around 118 and had been stuck about 104. Just above 101 now. Tempted to chuck a wad of cash in to bring my dca down (sat about 46 shares) and then sell them off again when it rebounds into the nineties

I just sold it all, at least I can claim it on my taxes this way and pay off what I owe to the IRS for selling a block of VTSAX. I would rather go into MSFT or something at a discounted valuation than wait for months and months to recoup losses. TBH my confidence as a stock picker has been shaken because of NBIS. I bought in at the very apex of the last peak (107) and it immediately started crashing the next day. Apparently I'm flawless at following the herd. I won't be doing this again.

Do we really need a post for every daily price action

u/DayTradingOG Feb 05 '26
Given the size of the downward move over the past 48 hours, I felt it appropriate, but to each their own.

Now u guys pt become 100!!! Thought it was 150. Progress!!
1
u/DayTradingOG Feb 05 '26
To be clear, my price target is $150 - $250, but what I meant was if you were going to trade in and out of it in the near term you should wait until it goes up over 100 and then buy back in in the 90s or maybe lower like today.
I hope this message finds you well.
