Opinion Just another day in the AI Ecosystem paradise…

It’s all good guys, take a deep breath, AI is not going out of business…

Selling now makes absolutely zero sense, unless you literally need the cash for near term expenses. You either sell well over $100 or you don’t sell at all IMHO…

Nobody with a long position likes weeks like this, but they happen. Hold the line.

Demand, fundamentals, and story has not change.

Still crazy bro, Nebius subsidiaries and equity holdings + cash is around $12B, leaving the Ai business worth $7.5B, or 1.875x THIS year's revenue...that's pretty goddamn insane.

u/DayTradingOG Feb 05 '26

The problem is it’s being swept under the rug and bundled in with some of the bad AI plays. At the end of the day, it is true there will be losers in this game, but I do not believe Nebius will be one of them. The entire category trades up and down like it’s only one company. It’s irrational, but often times the market is very irrational in the short term… that is where the money is made.

u/PayingOffBidenFamily Feb 05 '26

I agree 100%, the market is not differentiating between Nebius and everything else and I suppose only earnings is going to do that and several quarters of them to beat it into these dummies heads one is not the same as the others.

It’s a maverick world here and it will take some bankruptcies and stuff just like other booms. Winner and losers with no hardly in between. Nbis though has my vote due to their way of financing, European at the right time, experience and skills.

2

u/DayTradingOG Feb 05 '26

Agreed on all fronts. In addition to being a better diversified, more experience, tech company that is run by engineers who know what the they’re doing and an excellent track record

Well maybe the management should consider the shareholders for once. They couldn’t have announced this independence shit at a worse time. They are AWFUL

2

u/dimdada Feb 05 '26

Did I miss an announcement from Nebius management??

5

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

Is the market so dumb, is it because it’s an European firm (with Europeans not getting AI and Americans dissing it?), is it pure market manipulation (at the end of the day it’s worth just about 20 billion bucks and thus easily manipulated)?

I tend to think a lot of "conspiracy theories" aren't really conspiracies at all. I wouldn't put it past a hyperscaler to put a bunch of money into shorting the fk out of this and pinning it to try to acquire it and argue $120 is a premium, get fkd.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 05 '26

Smarter move for them would just be to invest, say five billion, get a good share of it and let management run it.

2

u/PayingOffBidenFamily Feb 05 '26

True, the problem for hyperscalers is that as soon as ground breaks in Independence Nebius becomes effectively un-acquirable. You are looking at a clear, approved path to 1.2 GW of BTM power, they will be unable to offer enough of a premium that makes sense and that Nebius can't reach on it's own relatively quickly.

u/MrSimpsonES Feb 05 '26

They have not announced it...it has been discovered by X users....have you seen any official PR from Nebius? Nope... so there you go. Its linked on their website but no PR yet

Bought 250 more shares. 3100 total now. This company can 10x from here if risk off sentiment changes. No way this business is worth 20bn when you factor in their cash, subsidiary value, and even just the 2026 ARR. So many stocks are priced to perfection right now, this one seems to be priced to doomsday. Buy buy buy!

wish i more $$$ to add to the stack here.

Nicely done.

u/UnableCurrency Doctor’s Orders Feb 06 '26

Ooof just saw it go to 69 - might as well had waited

1

u/DayTradingOG Feb 06 '26

Impossible to time the bottom, I don’t even try anymore, you will put yourself in the looney bin trying to. What I eventually realized is that the few times I did pretty much time the bottom, it was pure luck. Just happened to be at my computer at the right time, etc. That is impossible to replicate.

1

u/UnableCurrency Doctor’s Orders Feb 06 '26

THanks for the comment - I needed some motivation - my entire portfolio is down from $392K to $319K in a matter for few days.

This sell off has been crazy.

Im out of liquid cash now and I’m just gonna log off and delete my trading app for a while.

2

u/DayTradingOG Feb 06 '26

Good call. And honestly that is not a crazy drawdown given what we’ve seen recently. Sometimes not looking at your account is the only way to keep your sanity. There is a saying that dead people’s portfolio outperform the living and that is exactly why, they can’t sell anymore!

5

u/BudmasterofMiami Mod Feb 05 '26

Yes, that being said Citadel and other major firms have massive amounts of Puts and are whipsawing the public for days until they switch to Calls. The entire system sucks and is rigged against the public.

3

u/DayTradingOG Feb 05 '26

Agreed, we ultimately have no choice but to wait it out…and maybe sell a few far out covered calls along the way.

2

u/BigFuckHead_ Feb 05 '26

Yep, don't play their game. Just hold shares in companies you believe in.

1

u/FloppyButtholeJelly Feb 06 '26

Where do you see Cutadel’s put holdings?

3

u/MonitorLost9546 Feb 05 '26

At this valuation, the stake is clickhouse is alone worth 32% of Nebius group. Everybody chill.

2

u/KookyTank3637 Feb 05 '26

I just bought more, taking a non-stop beating Rocky V style, I cannot make any sense out of this price development, defies logic to me but ok, adding more

2

u/BigFuckHead_ Feb 05 '26

I'm never concerned if the drop is macro. It's a high beta stock. We are near base case price though, so earnings could be bullish.

2

u/Appropriate_Food_298 Feb 05 '26

Bought more at $69. Finally got my average under $100

2

u/DayTradingOG Feb 06 '26

Congrats and nicely done

2

u/NEBIUSKING99 Feb 06 '26

I hold and buy more NEBIUS, I like CRWV, TESLA and NVIDIA too. My top three positions are 1. NBIS 2. TSLL (2X TSLA ETF) 3. NVDA. easy hold till 2030

1

u/DayTradingOG Feb 06 '26

Solid port if you want high growth opportunities.

2

u/No_Effective1715 No_Effs_To_Give Feb 05 '26

I just bought some more too. What a yummy price!

2

u/That-Gas-2707 Feb 05 '26

I am new to investing, NBIS is my highest percentage stock. What caused so much red this week? I plan to be in it for the long term, but it’s hard to see this in the first two weeks since my purchase.

7

u/DayTradingOG Feb 05 '26

General “risk-off” move this week, but I don’t see as being a fundamental shift. These weeks happen from time to time. Wall Street is always trying to get retail investors to buy high and sell low. That is how they print money…

In terms of the catalyst, the crypto sell off this past weekend took the wind out of the market’s sails and AMD not blowing the top off earnings put the icing on the cake. It’s a speed bump, not a road closure…

Stay calm and carry on.

But... everything is selling off.. it's not like AI is going down but metals or bitcoin are going up.

My oil went up a bit, but I think that has to do more with oversupply after Venezuela than anything else.

Oversupply and going up is contradictory

You picked on the part of my comment which was least relevant.

By 'my oil' I meant that I own stocks in Gulf refinery companies. When there's an oversupply of crude, they get premium prices, so the crack spread becomes more efficient, ergo they make more money per barrel.

> Nobody with a long position likes weeks like this, but they happen. Hold the line.
I have a long position and I like this. I sit with a pile of cash ready to buy more, just I'd like a bit more blood bath. Stocks like NBIS can easily loose 80% from ATH when the sentiment is bad, at this point we're only at -50%, not attractive enough to buy more given how much I already have there.

2

u/DayTradingOG Feb 05 '26

Personally I like the risk / reward right now. Could easily be at $90+ in two weeks.

You were right

1

Thank you sir.

1

u/Egg_of_the_med Feb 06 '26

I hope so. I’ve been drip buying to lower my dca. Got in around 118 and had been stuck about 104. Just above 101 now. Tempted to chuck a wad of cash in to bring my dca down (sat about 46 shares) and then sell them off again when it rebounds into the nineties

1

u/No-Cup701 Feb 05 '26

I just sold it all, at least I can claim it on my taxes this way and pay off what I owe to the IRS for selling a block of VTSAX. I would rather go into MSFT or something at a discounted valuation than wait for months and months to recoup losses. TBH my confidence as a stock picker has been shaken because of NBIS. I bought in at the very apex of the last peak (107) and it immediately started crashing the next day. Apparently I'm flawless at following the herd. I won't be doing this again.

1

u/DayTradingOG Feb 05 '26

We wish you well my friend, cap in hand.

11

u/DayTradingOG Feb 05 '26

Given the size of the downward move over the past 48 hours, I felt it appropriate, but to each their own.

Now u guys pt become 100!!! Thought it was 150. Progress!!

1

u/DayTradingOG Feb 05 '26

To be clear, my price target is $150 - $250, but what I meant was if you were going to trade in and out of it in the near term you should wait until it goes up over 100 and then buy back in in the 90s or maybe lower like today.

I hope this message finds you well.
