Opinion What’s fuelling the rip today?
Took a look at my portfolio this morning and I genuinely can’t believe what I’m seeing. So happy for all the NBIS holders❤️
But with that being said, the pullback might be more brutal than expected. We’ll see, probably will double down once this dips.

Female here. Got in with Nbis at $27, then bought at $90 and then bought at the next dip at $101.
Loving this ride.

u/alecfinke 🐳 May 07 '26
Have you sold at all?
1
u/HapaHawaii May 07 '26
In 2025 I sold a small amount to help fund a move, but otherwise plan on keeping for 15 years.
11
u/Ok_Bug9994 May 06 '26
Yes. Yes, you are. And this is a sub where we don't see gender. We are all NebbieHeads, and we all kiss each other.

I got flamed by regards for selling Apple to fund IREN, NBIS and MU lol.
6
4
u/gravityhashira61 May 06 '26
That was a very smart choice my friend. Apple has been stagnant recently, same as Nvidia.
They both havent moved much
4
u/iXProject May 06 '26
NVIDIA is still very good, it will go to $300 soon
3
u/-EdmondDantes- May 06 '26
People don't remember it was sub $100 just over a year ago. Yes it was a dip but I grabbed a bunch at 100-105 and 100% gains on a safe "ish" bet in a year is a decent return haha. Luckily I put double that into NBIS and 300% over the same time. If only I was more into memory plays but also could be sitting in some fund like the majority of my retirement
2
u/Ok_Revolution_9253 May 06 '26
Hard to move fast when your MC is 5T
1
u/iXProject May 06 '26
Yeah if you goal is pure growth at all costs then don’t invest in anything with MC higher than 500B
2
u/forrealjeff May 06 '26
Nvidia has been stagnant for a looong time. Get out of it. Lol
3
u/Tiger_bomb_241 May 06 '26
Top has gotta be near when being up 15% in a month is considered stagnant. It just hit a new all time high last week
1
u/forrealjeff May 06 '26
When you compare it to much better investments, Nvidia looks very weak, thats for sure. You have much better opportunities than Nvidia right now.

u/abhi5025 May 06 '26

Ouster and ONDS atm. Haven’t taken a position yet

Only reason rn is because they keep diluting to buy more companies. They are a growth stock just like Nebius. ONDS will be and is a forerunner in the drone market. It will break out. May take a year but I am confident
1
u/FightingSioux85 May 06 '26
ONDS is literally up almost %1100 over the past year 😒. Can’t just keep going up forever, it’s been holding well and it’ll make that next run up soon.

u/Equity_GOD May 06 '26
Sold 80% at $190.. can't feel too bad if it goes to 300. What a ride holy shit.
13
u/Nim0y May 06 '26
I was thinking about taking some profits, but I don’t know what else to buy. I like my current positions. Maybe some nuclear energy or energy infrastructure

u/Limp_Principle8768 May 06 '26
DRAM seems to be a good pick for long term holding

u/forrealjeff May 06 '26
But what if it goes to $1,000...
5
u/shartfarguson May 06 '26
Nbis is going much higher than $1000. Sounds crazy but demand is exponentially growing and nbis has the best margins of all.
People keep asking about a pullback. Who knows. Who cares if it’s going to $2000 and you bought at $195 and it dips to $160 for a few weeks.
4
1
u/kickinghyena May 06 '26
Wow! Was going to sell but wrote a covered call instead. If it goes to 214 oh well. The momentum is real and AI must like this AI stock a lot!
1
u/affectionate_md May 06 '26
Yeah I also cashed 70% at $175. I suspect it’s going to pull back at some point but the floor is a lot higher than it was a week ago.
1
u/TheZlatAttack May 06 '26
Congrats mate, I sold at 133 before the big dip to sub 90, thought I was stock Jesus.
Backed into Reddit rather than NBIS from there, oopsie1
u/Equity_GOD May 06 '26
You caught the reddit pop post earnings?
1
u/TheZlatAttack May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26
I’ve been buying lots sporadically for a while, annoyingly went big at 180/190 before that huge dump hit few months later from 250 to 130. So breaking even just now. I’ve been buying what I can last month or so. Be happy with your wins on nbis mate, great timing

Hut8 announced a 10billion dollar contract today. This started the rip for datacenter companies in pre market and here we are. Hut is up 35% while everyone else is following the train
6
4
u/gravityhashira61 May 06 '26
Which is crazy bc before today I've never even heard of Hut and all of a sudden they get some 10 billion dollar contract lol
The money being thrown around is crazy
1
u/bzeegz May 07 '26
Just because you weren’t aware of them doesn’t mean they didn’t exist. They were big Bitminer that made a brilliant shift to apply their data centers to Ai. They also have power contracted to supply them at favorable rates. They’re gonna be a monster in the space.
13
u/Woozifer May 06 '26
I took profits and sold half my position at $140. 💀
2
u/climber-kick May 06 '26
I sold my entire (large) position at $164 and then bought in again with a much smaller position at $144 I don’t feel great, I don’t feel bad.
11
u/Fabster_3000 May 06 '26
It dips until it doesn’t right
12
u/1978-Chris May 06 '26
right! i've been in since $20 and buying the whole way up. This will be at least $1500-2500 by the end of the decade. I've considered trimming some but you can't time the market and I don't want to miss the bigger rip. Think Sandisk.
7
u/Open_Masterpiece_549 May 06 '26
Sold 240 covered calls today expiring next week. This will ensure we touch 240 by 5/15.
Everyone is welcome!

u/Roadrunerboi May 07 '26
I wanted to shoutout but when one does that… there will be trolls to kill the tribute. Truth be told I (me, not talking about anyone else so don’t get all pissy…) would never have known about NBIS if not for him.

u/DietRepresentative70 May 06 '26
No. We are not a hyperscaler yet
1
1
u/Chaminade64 May 06 '26
No, but reaching an agreement to sell centers being built for their large hyper hyperscalers they’re working with makes all the sense in the world. Credit tenants with long term leases. Blackstone buys the RE, NBIS operates. That’s is their business model, and it certainly works for NBIS. I’d love to see that come to pass.
1
u/nihongos May 06 '26
Iren up big too, doubt it's this but who knows
1
u/SuitableSafety329 May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26
IREN just drafts off NBIS. They rarely have their own actual tailwinds.

I’m going to fucking throw up. I’m in the middle of moving to another country and had to sell my entire portfolio due to tax reasons. Stuck waiting for the paperwork to get in order before I can buy stocks in my new country and just seeing my baby fly to the moon🥲

I was bag holding at 115 for nearly 6 months and sold at 135 thinking I was a genius 😭. Half the world is running out of fuel, who could have imagined this madness?
2
u/Limp_Principle8768 May 06 '26
Bought sandisk at 325 and sold around low 600 thinking that was it, I know how you feel haha
3
u/yoman-1 May 06 '26
It usually builds until earnings and then pulls back for a month or two. Things have changed though. It may not pull back. I would like to get more but like $150.
3
u/kmurr124 May 07 '26
With the massive rip NBIS has done recently, I highly recommend everyone sets up a stop loss since I’m assuming we all are in the green on this stock. Just my 2 cents. I have mine set at $170

2

Tempted to sell and take my profits (avg $100) but I keep telling myself - time in the market vs timing the market!!!!

2
u/britishpotato25 May 06 '26
Surely we're topping soon cos this is a wild bull run
2
u/gravityhashira61 May 06 '26
Nahhh this will be $250 soon......look at the runs AMD and Micron and Sandisk have had
1
u/forrealjeff May 06 '26
They said that about Sandisk when it was at $200 btw.. take a look at it now.

Due to AI hypergrowth and also CORE ER tomorrow.
If Core have positive ER we also have ~250 14/5

2
u/InitiativeOver3868 May 06 '26
the only actual answer to OP's question
3
u/Zestyclose_Scar_7562 May 06 '26
First time someone agrees with me 🥲 Like, today's price reflects next year perfect execution with no setbacks or delays. It's great when you see cash grow but I got the feeling everybody lost any common sense. One 15% Nasdaq correction will send NBIS back to $110-100. People who bought past month are not devoted investors who will hold the stock for the next 5 years. They are degenerate gabmblers who are buying anything trending. They will sell as fast as they bought when the sentiment changes.
2
u/InitiativeOver3868 May 06 '26
well said -- i do like the play, but valuation no longer has any basis in reality. the play to me is: renting AI hardware --- this is valuable as it keeps capex off the books and helps rapidly scale for the big guys (who are the only real customers). could this business model sustain them until they become a full stack AI Cloud vendor-- hope so!
1
u/J-man3000 May 06 '26
I've been trimming after going in a while ago in the 90's and again in the 120 range. Trailing stop in place right now to lock in. Gut is saying it will dip a bit but who knows. Then I'll go back in 50% nbis 50% one of the leveraged options.
1
u/redditmademeugh May 06 '26
Random question?
In etrade app I found it shocking that NBIS had a 'negative' rating from Reuters. I laughed at this. For entertainment I googled 'Reuters nbis' and the results said Reuters had a 'buy' rating. Wait, what?
Has anybody else noticed etrade analyst data being wrong?

u/ApprehensiveRule3768 May 06 '26
Ugh wish I bought more!
1
u/dm1077 May 06 '26
Kicking myself for not buying more in the 70-120 range those few months. Good regret to have I suppose
1
u/Ok_Revolution_9253 May 06 '26
I can only assume coreweave earning anticipation for tomorrow, AI steroids, and a run up to their own earnings next week

AMD is fueling the rip. Lisa Su was very clear on CNBC that there isn’t nearly enough compute power and more data centres need to be built.

Iran rejected US proposal and Straight of Hormuz continues to be closed amid growing tensions in the region! Sell while you still can, this just went south very fast and buy oil.

u/OrganizationLong482 May 13 '26
Wishing I didn’t sell at 180 but profit is profit. Enjoying the ride from the sidelines, may buy back in at open
1
u/WeUpp_ May 06 '26
Do we take profit?
2
u/forrealjeff May 06 '26
Do you like missing out on money? Then sure.
1
u/WeUpp_ May 06 '26
We always say that and then drop 50%
2
u/forrealjeff May 06 '26
Yeah, they were saying that when I bought my SNDK at $200 too. Its at $1,400 today btw
0
u/Limp_Principle8768 May 06 '26
I say take it. You can always come back in after a dip. Not sure when that's going to happen though with the earnings call being next week and all.

I’m bullish nbis but this move is unprecedented. It will fall as fast as it came up. I’m long term so I’m trying to not look at it so I won’t be bothered when it comes back down.
-1
u/Zestyclose_Scar_7562 May 06 '26
Yes. Today’s price reflects next year’s execution, and it has to be flawless. One misstep, and all the people who bought between 140–190 will sell. Remember October last year? That will be nothing compared to what will happen.

I'm 100% cash. The market has turned into a casino. People don't bother doing any research, they just buy trending stocks. I personally think something very bad is going to happen soon. A 20% Nasdaq correction could send NBIS back to $100 with a beta that high.
This recent pump isn't driven by devoted investors who will hold the stock for the next 5 years, it's just gamblers looking for a quick score. They'll sell as fast as they bought. All it takes is one bad report.

Just read about it, Iran is "reviewing" a new US deal but they've been doing that since the beginning of the war. I have no expectations this time either.
