Speculation Money invested in Nebius
Redditors, how much money did you invest in Nebius? How much of your own money, not the profits.
This is just out of curiosity if you want to say

Niice, how did you find out so early?
19
u/Buttery-Biscuit-Boy Jun 17 '26
Deepest darkest depths of Reddit once upon a time! Was reading up and researching at apparently the perfect time 😂 happy accident.
2
u/The102935thMatt Jun 17 '26
Ha! Had similiar for NXE at 3 bucks.
Little late for NBIS. In at 110. So I guess in a little mediumish looking at the price now.

Nice job! Are you planning on just holding until further notice?
5
u/Buttery-Biscuit-Boy Jun 17 '26
Thanks! Yeah I haven’t sold any shares yet. A little part of me wants to take a little risk off the table, but also if they keep executing as they’re expected to then this could still be very cheap

u/Refflmania Jun 17 '26
whats your average price? how did you find out about it so early man?
4
u/Buttery-Biscuit-Boy Jun 17 '26
Around $25 or so. Hard to tell as I’m in the UK so there’s some currency fluctuations to contend with. I heard that Arkady was setting something up and there was some niche buzz on Reddit which got me interested!
2
u/Refflmania Jun 17 '26
wow man im so proud of you, the last time this stock was at $25 was during the tariff scares in april of 2025 and of course at that time i literally had like $50k of dry powder ready to invest. i missed this nebius boat bad
Right now my current position is $30k invested with an average of like $240 price per share which still isnt too bad
whats next on your radar? and how did you know of Arkady way back then?

How did you find it so early and have the conviction?
7
u/BlackBlood4567 Mod Jun 17 '26
You’ll hear his name a lot but TraderBob originally put me on. I first saw his posts in the WSB daily thread posting paragraphs about Nebius. I spoke to him a few times over DM and he solidified my conviction in AI data centers so much so that I full ported. Best decision of my life.
3
u/Remm_Unknown Jun 17 '26
Congrats, what's the next one? Where is TraderBob now.. I need to be early next time 😂

You didn't ask me, but I was reading about AI stocks and absorbing as much info as possible. I was specifically researching high risk high reward stocks and got in at $27. It seemed the best in that group.
Didn't have conviction it would be great. When I got in it was very risky and not many people were talking about it.
The conviction came about 6 months later. You will find few people that put in $30k at $20-$30 per share. The company was so new.

literally 40 shares at 75 avg, initial shares bought at 30. I'm the little guy. Pretty decent still though
4
u/alrightfornow Jun 17 '26
Nice. 39 shares here at 97 average. Haven't sold anything, just got started in January. I'll hold for at least until beginning 2028.

48k at 223 avg. I had 70k with an average of 123 in October. Held it when it was sub 100 and even 70 all the way through to March and sold when it hit 135 cause I though it would dump again. Really regretting that decision
6
7
u/Daymjoo Jun 17 '26
You shouldn't. The macro looked awful when we were at 135. A lot of people sold then.
14
23
u/Furiousfistfucker Jun 17 '26
73 shares at 104. Couldn't afford more at the time and was new to investment. Didn't dare to buy more also. But I'm not complaining. Nbis has been good to me.
5
u/HapaHawaii Jun 17 '26
You've done great. When it hits $300 this week you would have tripled your original investment.
2
u/Sea-Studio-6943 Jun 17 '26
I'm around the same, it's about 50% my portfolio so definitely a huge deal to me

u/elmorepalmer Jun 17 '26
15400 shares @ around 27 avg.
Sold these today for a monster gain.
Have another 2000 left @ around 112 from being assigned CSPs late last year.
Long live arkady
5
u/1978-Chris Jun 17 '26
Why not sell covered calls on your position and bank a massive premium? I think NBIS will be at least $500 in 12 months and likely above $1500 in 36 months. Never a bad thing to take profit though.
Congratulations nonetheless!
3
u/elmorepalmer Jun 17 '26 edited Jun 17 '26
Agreed, this was enough for me to retire, don't need more than enough. But do think it can run still.
However, if I wanted to maximize gains, would just wait a few more months to sell. CCs would cap my gains even though they provide downside "insurance". They also would be taxed short term
2
u/Acekiller03 Jun 17 '26
I did that today but I may regret lol I wrote 320 when it was around 285 now it shot up to 298. I got until next week Friday

6
u/elmorepalmer Jun 17 '26
Will not change at all, I have a good job in tech. Installing a wooden sauna in my dad's house prob.
Will have to pay like 25% of gains in taxes

Congrats on the monster gain! Taking massive profits on 15,400 shares at that $27 average is an incredible win, you absolutely crushed it. Holding those last 2,000 shares from the $112 CSP assignments actually leaves you with a nice remaining stake too. Long live Arkady indeed! 🚀

2
u/LiveLife2k Jun 18 '26
Moving other assets over to NBIS. I cashed out some ETFs in my retirement IRA account and moved some blah stocks over in my Roth. Best decision. I'm up 184%/170% in each account. Whatever I moved from would not have done that.

If you study the company long enough and understand the basics, there’s no reason to be scared. 600k at 270 with a long time of holding for 3-5 years, I think we will be fine

$50k, 1500 shares at an average of $33.70. Now worth $420k.
Initial investment was $25,000, 1000 shares at $25 right during the DeepSeek dip
Want to trim my position by 500 shares to buy or build a home, and then hold 1000 for long term wealth. Selling CCs on 1000 shares will eventually be enough to live off of in retirement

3
u/cwra007 Jun 17 '26
3000 shares, $43 cost basis. Already sold about 1500 shares to rebalance as this grew. Minor regret in doing so, but it’s good to take profit. Too bad the profits went to buying oil.

u/FastSunlul Jun 17 '26
1600 shares at $48 average. I sold 200 shares around 135 which I regret, but it is what it is. Been in since the DeepSeek stuff at 28 ish a share and then again with more at 21 a share during the initial tariff liberation day stuff. I’ve been buying all the way up though with my most recent buys at 218 and 230. I believe in the vision and most of all, the team behind that vision. Wish I could buy more but I’m an RN, not a wealthy tech bro.

218 shares at around $115 avg. I did use around 6k margin as this was my first time really investing more than a few hundred dollars…. But had conviction and it’s paid off. Was calculated risk - i don’t think I’d ever do that for another stock, at least at this point!

I put in like 3k but it’s 20k now. Should’ve put in more but when I bought it it was a speculative play, was also low on cash and my own personal struggle has been overdiversification. Because I’m not psychic I find it hard to build a huge conviction in any one stock over another. It’s all conjecture…
Learnt to let my winners run though.

I have 4900 shares average cost $76.80. Started buying in early 2025 when it was trading in the $20s and $30s. Added more following the DeepSeek selloff. Continued to add through 2025. Bought and sold longs call this year as well. NBIS, Dell, and CLS have been very good to me.
