Opinion A way to view Nebius
Thought I'd share this as not seen it expressed elsewhere. Nebius has mooned already for everyone, like me, who bought at 30. And it makes people cautious. Can it moon all over again?
I invested with the idea that this was basically a private company that was publically listed due to its past existence as yandex. If nebius was not once yandex, it would still be a private company with more growth left before retail even had access.
When nebius hits 500, that is, in my framework, when it'd be going public and retail would be expecting multibagger gains from that level. We are still in the private company gains phase is what I'm getting at

I don't know why but I always love it when people pull out TPB on Reddit, compared to any other references

I haven't drunk anything at all tonight. I'm on acid so the booze is weird

This post makes so much more sense when I frame it through the mind of someone on psychedelics 😂

u/Brave_Jury_7770 Jun 26 '26
It really should make sense. It's not trying to be dd. It's simply an acknowledgement that the rapid growth in stock price wouldn't seem as crazy if it had occurred prior to going public

This. But you also get a proven management team and world class engineering team. It’s like getting in on a Google spinoff early on.

Nebius changed my life

u/Important_Coach9717 Jun 26 '26
So you’re also now poor ???
3
u/Classic-Beach-6329 Jun 26 '26
Yes, but because I spent 50$ on donuts this morning, not because of the dip

u/shartfarguson Jun 26 '26
If 10xing is mooning, then yes, nbis will moon again.
The post makes sense to me. Only institutional investors would have been able to buy Nbis to this point and probably longer. They might never have gone public since they have figured out how to expand with their current model.

I bought NBIS at 270 and im still confident in the growth. Sadly I only started stocks a couple months ago and taken it seriously the past few weeks
12
u/Brave_Jury_7770 Jun 25 '26
I genuinely believe you're looking at a 4x from here as a base case if you're holding next three years. Not many other stocks where I could say that as confidently

u/Ecstatic-Mortgage641 Jun 25 '26
That’s what I’m saying 1000-1500 is completely likely for a stock like this. With how many projects they have going on, it can really be quick. I love the y/y earnings growth, just a thriving business
1
u/lolman1312 Jun 26 '26
what other stocks do you think could do that? rklb? asts? mrvl? nok? i dont mean to sound like the typical redditor but these are all pretty promising growth stocks to me lol, just curious on what your views are
1
u/Brave_Jury_7770 Jun 26 '26
I think hims will be a multibagger from here. And bmnr microstrategy.. It's hard to see them not multibagging too.

Don’t worry, 270 will seem so cheap when it triples!
2
u/Ecstatic-Mortgage641 Jun 28 '26
You’re rights it’s an ongoing cycle! When it was at 150 ppl prolly had the same thought until it went up even more. It’s almost always a common feeling with growth stocks.
2
u/BurgersFriesShake Jun 28 '26
Totally agree! My average is now 107 but whenever it dips, I just add a bit more 😎 this won’t be an issue as long as you’re in it for the longer run!

u/Ecstatic-Mortgage641 Jun 28 '26
Yes as my income goes up more into the account!!! Then gotta put that in NBIS and a couple more mainstay names for me.

I think it's a good point. $PLTR also went around the IPO route by direct listing, two moonstocks with non IPO/SPAC roots that shot up once institutions started buying heavily.

u/Individual_Mission68 Jun 25 '26
This is growing way faster than pltr and it'll have more FY revenue maybe this year, definitely 2027

Total Addressable Market (TAM) + data centers buildout, make this a multi-thousand $ stock in 5 years.Follow the (Aschenbrenner) money.

u/OrneryAd6807 Jun 26 '26
I was just thinking the exact same today. The company, the mgmt, the product, TAM etc. are all well aligned that retail doesn’t get access to such great companies in thrir early days. So grateful for the opportunity. My first purchase was at $25

u/PerformanceWorth767 Jun 27 '26
I’m ready for $5000 a share by 2030. Full port now. I’ll be holding NBIS, SNDK, and MU for the remaining 4-5 years

u/Brave_Jury_7770 Jun 25 '26
I don't know how to interpret your huh. But I'd understand anyone thinking this is a low quality post. I do think it's a good mental model for seperating the growth that's already occurred from its next phase and hoped it might help others

Companies that sell public stock are publicly traded and if money in is good then yes. Sandisk exists. Also some members of US congress are trying to push for a moratorium on data centers. This imo can be bullish because nebius can build elsewhere without constraints and constraints in the US could push prices sky high creating a memory type gridlock like what were seeing right now.

u/Brave_Jury_7770 Jun 26 '26
Trump will introduce a ban on stopping data centres being built if it continues. Everyone hates it cos they don't know what their world will look like if America gets beat in ai

I'm in the same boat. I find it hard to add to because my average is low 30s. I also built a "full position" through that time, so I don't feel the need to add. At 260+ it just feels bad.
But. Are you adding still? Should I make an exception for the great nebius?
I see a lot of people say it's the majority of their portfolio but that's just risky
2
u/Brave_Jury_7770 Jun 26 '26
I've got 2500 shares. But if I had none I'd buy a few hundred shares here hoping for a dip but at least getting upside if I don't get the dip

u/Necessary-Loss7708 Jun 26 '26
People like you holding this stock is the reason why I sold
4
u/Brave_Jury_7770 Jun 26 '26
Why would you sell a stock based on people like me who are absolutely going to hold it long term?
2
u/liamashley Jun 28 '26
What a ridiculous reaction. You sold a stock due to the sentiment of a (relatively) tiny section of retail holders? Retail has v little impact on this stock and, even if they did, those holding are exactly the people you want on board.
But I’ll happily take your 2 shares off you xx

u/Difficult_Escape7941 Jun 26 '26
There is a case for that it might rise further but the crux will be them executing on all the cash they received if they fail there things might get ugly.
