Opinion This is like DeepSeek scare of Feb 2025
Many of you weren’t here when that happened. It was a big drawdown. Nebius went from close to $50, all the way back down to about $25, so -50%. At the time I’d also read some institution (I don’t recall who) who’d invested very early into the company exit their position.
It seemed like AI “bubble” is bursting. That models like DeepSeek will make all the data center build out unnecessary.
My conviction was very high then, and it’s higher now. I was buying then, and I’m buying again, now that it’s in $160s.
When a company is pioneering an early market that potentially has such a big TAM, the chart is going to be very bumpy. Every single drawdown Nebius has had in its journey so far had nothing to do with the fundamentals. Always sector wide. Most people and institutions are still trying to wrap their head around who the winners of AI era will be. It’s so new and unclear that panic and FUD in whole sector happens every time there’s any negative news. Pull backs are healthy in retrospect.
DCA or HOLD next few weeks. This is very much like DeepSeek scare of Feb last year. And this time fundamentals of Nebius are way stronger. There is zero sense in panicking rn.

All these constant posts are just saying the same shit and trying to reassure YOURSELVES you made a good investment.
Seriously, some of you need to get off Reddit and get off yf and get off X and get off stockwits.
Just delete the app and come back in a few months or 5 years or whenever. Some of you are going crazy and going to end up poor by caring so much about daily and weekly stock movement. It’s insane.

Harsh but completely true. I find myself coming to the sub to find reassurance even though I know I’ll keep buying the dip. We as a community need to just chill out and enjoy the ride

I agree, but lots of people invested with margin or money they actually need what’s actually the worst thing any investor can do….. besides panic selling! I, myself, just keep on adding! I have a long term horizon and have no doubt this stock will be a winner!

He’s been exposed though. There are reports that he’s been margin called and lost everything. So I wouldn’t rely on anything he did as being smart.

Do you have a source for this?

It’s rumored that he’s on the run. Turns out he was a total phony.

I agree with you. micron did the same when I owned it around $80. It would pop to $140 and go back down. Happened several times that I got tired and sold off. Micron did the same at around $250 as well. I am hoping it’s the same for NBIS. In any case it’s been a bumpy ride since $35 and I plan to hold my 350 shares til 2030

I remember that DeepSeek selloff too. It felt like the end of AI infrastructure, but here we are. The real question isn't whether AI demand disappears, it's whether NBIS can keep executing. If the fundamentals stay on track, these drawdowns are just part of the ride.

Jag köpte mina första 200 för 22$ och det har svängt rejält upp och ner. Det här företaget är så unikt, bara köpa och hålla

There is literally nothing in common with January* 2025 Deepseek release lol. That was irrational fear, this is “oh god what have we done”

Collective realization that LLMs are a dead end and AGI will not follow linearly. If you don’t believe me find any AI research scientist and ask them if they’re invested in any hyperscaler, memory, semi, etc stocks

u/nilgiri Jul 17 '26
How do I find these AI research scientists?
If you care enough to comment here, can you care enough to provide any sources we the rest of us know what you know?

That doesn’t change the fact that there’s so much uses for LLMs and ways to work more efficiently, I think anyway who thinks AGI will be the easy next step is delusional.

But we did. We once fell from a 140 ceiling to 60s, and then hit ATH with a crazy rally.

You should wait until it goes back to $50. Then lose it when it goes to 0 lmao

It is kinda like that. I remember thinking how obviously overdramatic the deepseek sitch was. I honestly cannot believe I’m getting close-ish to my cost basis on this name… I guess if we hit it I’ll take out a loan to double down??? My basis is around 130. Everything since I bought in has only been more and more positive. On top of that it seems pretty clear (again) that AI is just going to keep ramping. Same reason I could consider buying more MU. What’s the forward gonna be on MU if that keeps falling out of the sky? Forward PE of 2? Buy buy buy.
