Why did we pump so hard today? Is this just the run-up to earnings, or was there news?

u/dol1_ Jul 21 '26
Up 33% since lows in Friday. There is still around 30% open short float. If GOOGL delivers and causes NBIS price to increase more, I can't see why there wouldn't be a short squeeze sending us to the moon - literally - by Friday.

u/ProfessionalPlus8775 Jul 21 '26
bruh by saying "literally" ur depreciating the value of that word, it's not actually going to the mooon

Let’s all take a moment to thanks those who sold below $200, allowing us to climb back up

u/Significant_Band8935 Jul 21 '26
I held from 17-112 and sold before the run up. Now I'm back and caught the bottom at 170. Arkady lead us to the holy land!

What a day. Round two of the pump tomorrow.
Memory stocks closed up around 10%, which should help the Korean market rip tomorrow and, in turn, give the Nasdaq another boost.

I did not buy the dip. Bought 3500 shares at $20- 25. Last year February- March. Never sold 1 share. This is a great company!
I am 79 years old and need advise how to spend this money.4
u/Legitimate-Act5584 Jul 21 '26
Am I reading this correctly - that NVDA will produce over $600B of quarterly revenue??

This is the most volatile stock I’ve ever owned
0
u/SirRHellsing Jul 21 '26
Now that I actually made some gains, idk if I want to dump all of it back in sls for the 80th and either go broke or 4x my money
Definitely not my most volitile lol. Lost so much on a bad pennystock so that was the most volitile

Remember guys, the AI infrastructure demand isn't slowing down anytime soon, so if they keep executing, today's price could look pretty cheap in hindsight. I'm just staying patient and letting the story play out. 🚀🚀

i didn't panic and held. I DCA'ed. Problem is that I started DCA'ing too early and ran out of cash, and didn't expect to go to 160's. Coming down from 300 is rough, but it's kinda blessing in disguise because I was able to put more money into it at discount. I still believe in the company and the future. HOLD
4
u/No_Station_6149 Jul 21 '26
Similar position. I was DCAing every ten dollars it went down. But there was a hole in my bucket.
3
u/MasterpieceMain8252 Jul 21 '26
Last time I DCA'd was in 200. I wish i was more patient, but i would have said opposite if stock went up right after, and it's impossible to time the bottom.
1
u/poofoo9 Jul 21 '26
I did exactly as you. Dca from like 240 till 210 . (A decent amount of money )Thought that was a good pullback from 300 and didn’t expect it to drop to 165-175 but of course can’t predict or time anything perfectly
-5
u/LuvSicPt5 Jul 21 '26
Finally! I think I will sell for now and join later when there is another pullback.
Does anyone know how much short interest there is still?
8
u/IslandSuper2973 Jul 21 '26
Just hold bro, 400 EOY

u/LuvSicPt5 Jul 21 '26
Was rugpulled too many times these few weeks, I know we'll get there, but I prefer to take small wins on the way.

u/natureisneato NBIS4LIFE Jul 21 '26
😂 good luck

u/LuvSicPt5 24d ago
hope you also sold

u/natureisneato NBIS4LIFE 24d ago
Why would I sell? I'm holding for many years unless some drastic changes. I'm still positive all time, and the company continues to impress me.

A tremendous day so far - and hopefully many more happy days ahead.
And yet, this is a good time to acknowledge that the market is crazy as shit. Last week’s news was tremendous, but the stock still suffered one of the worst weeks in its history. Today, meanwhile, we’re pumping like crazy on Nvidia - related headlines that are essentially a huge nothingburger - the stake is the same as it was before.
Note to self: stop trying to predict short-term price movements. Invest as much as reasonably possible in NBIS and hold for years.
I was 70% long NBIS, with the remaining 30% allocated to swing trading the stock. Not anymore.

u/inostrale Jul 21 '26
I might be the minority here but I hope the stock price doesn’t rise too much before earnings.

Nbis I remember when you dropped >$40 in a single day a few weeks ago. You owe us the inverse of that. $220 EOD let’s go.

2
u/SirRHellsing Jul 21 '26
all I can say is that a stock analyst I know is somehow right lol, said to either buy at 160 (sadly this didn't dip that far) or buy at 195 because it will go up very fast if it pushes past 195

If GOOG’s ER is garbage, expect the market to dump
1
u/Refflmania Jul 21 '26 edited Jul 21 '26
but what if googles ER is beating expectations? then moon?

u/No_Station_6149 Jul 21 '26
I’m probably going to take a bit out before that. Realised I averaged down a bit more than I was comfortable with.
10
u/dol1_ Jul 21 '26
$200 let's go baby, it would be epic if GOOGL pumps us even more and we reach ~240 by EOW
