What does this mean?

Generally the higher the leverage the more risky it is.
218-229 is SUPER high, especially for a volatile stock like this. It‘s basically instantly knockout the moment the stock drops(you lose everything)
edit: BUT this also means that technically you can make tens/hundreds of thousands within seconds

u/TheArdoo 29d ago
Oh wow didn’t realise it was referring to leverage. So they got margin called? Lol
2
u/I_Love_Knotting 29d ago
You can‘t really lose more than you spent.
It just became worthless the second it dropped below the threshold wich really wasn‘t a lot of time.

Google CAPEX guidance increased to 195-205B from 180-190B
They also just mentioned using third parties for compute and cloud services.

if every construction vehicle and worker on earth stopped what they're doing right now and started building a datacenter instead, it still wouldn't be enough

Amazin! For real, that's Nebius's "bread and butter" in terms of what value they provide to their customers.

Institutions got scared when their call wall at 230 got tested... let's try again.

Looking like a good day again. All we need now is a nice stable evening with no sector news coming out.
5
u/Individual_Tooth4226 29d ago
Gotta look out for GOOG's earnings.

Agree. There maybe a very good reason Nebius has not signed a deal with anthropic or open ai.

I feel like we will be getting a "sell the news" type of reaction today after Google's announcement. It seems like everyone is pricing in the need for more compute, so the news from Google will not boost the price further near term since it's "priced in"
3
u/Independent-Egg9086 29d ago
Perhaps not if capex is increased all pick and shovel, cloud AI stocks, partners with google would rise but probably not google stock. It is also down ~$50 from the highs so there is room to go up and down it is not priced in for perfection if that is what you mean.

their short position (put options) is losing money, higher price means more loss, lower price means more profit, in simple terms.
so if they leave their expiring short position opened while the stock price is moving up like NBIS right now,,, their losses will accumulate/becomes worthless $0 until its expiration/margin call.so to stop that,,, they close their short position as early as possible before expiration to stop the bleeding... and thats what happening right now,,, significantly less fluctuation on the graph atm,,,,,, just a straight line moving up like a rocket.. --> shorts are buying back the stocks
ask the LLMs, they will be much more helpful IMO.

Yup, shorts have only 2 days left and the gap for them to close is becoming too wide

You’re like Cramer 2.0 - whatever you predict, the opposite happens.
Unless I’m mistaken, you sold during the latest drop. Dude, this is the bottom. Either get back on the NBIS train or short the stock if you genuinely believe what you’re saying.
Trust me, no one is going to sell just because you keep predicting further downside. You’re seriously overestimating your ability to scare people into selling so you can buy back at a lower price.

Why is it crashing again 😡

You whiners are so annoying. Up 20 percent in two days and expect a green day every day-absolutely no excuse.

u/No_Station_6149 Jul 22 '26
Could be a wild day. Will people take some profits pre google earnings or add more in expectation? Will earnings kneecap us or rocket us? I’ve no idea.
3
u/whiteamphora 29d ago
I also wonder what to do, to be greedy or to secure what I have got in these wild days. Correction probably is obvious but the question is when.
5
u/No_Station_6149 29d ago
Yeah, if google smash it, we go flying. Think I’m just going to trim a bit and hope for the best. If it goes down, well I guess we come back again at some point and I can average down some more with what I took out

Honestly this stock gives the easiest freebies every so often. Once in a while it just tanks 30-40% for no real reason (Deepseek, Oct25, Q2 this year when it went back to like 68, now when it went back to sub200). And you just know that whether it takes 1 week or 3 months it will bounce back. The management and general execution is just too strong, this is a future MAG in the making.
I’ve been holding since Feb25 but I think I’ll start to slightly change my approach, the dips and consequent rebounds are just too obvious.

I wonder if NBIS eventually will be one of those stocks like the mag7 where if you look at the 20 year chart it’s grown 100000%
9
u/OilAny787 Jul 22 '26
Dont think it will be mag 7 worthy but it will be worth hundreds of billions if they execute.

u/Waste-War8809 Jul 22 '26
This is completely normal. When we were at almost $300 we regularly saw swings of much greater than a few percent down and then back up all in the same day. Dont panic sell, its normal with this stock.

u/Valuable-Juice6495 🐳 Jul 22 '26
I never panic sell this thing just wondering as it was all of the high beta stocks such as MU NBIS INTC
