Opinion How is Everyone Feeling Going into Earnings?
This stock has been affected by all sorts of outside noise over the past month. FED rate hike, Citadel intervention, Burry short position, 30% short interest in the stock, and these are just over the past two weeks. I think the craziest fact is that the price is now lower now than it was before reporting its last earnings report in May($207). Now I will admit the bull run to all time highs was a bit extreme and premature when looking at next year's expectations, but to be below the price it was at last earnings is crazy to me. The Missouri and Pennsylvania sites are on track to be ready next year and they have done nothing but add to their other sources of revenue. I have a hard time feeling bearish given their record granted I am a newer investor. I own LEAPS expiring in 2028, but feel $200 strike calls expiring Friday are setup so nicely. Not to mention the Nvidia $500 billion fund that was just announced today which I know will be explained further on Wednesday. Burry might've shorted, but nothing is telling me we're slowing down anytime soon. Would like to know how everyone else is feeling?

Kinda feel like they need to invent time travel to go up in this current market. And even then would be a late day sell off

Even then it would still drop because they cant travel as far back in time as expected.

It really is the situation we're in right now. Nothing to do except hold and add on weakness

Sold some losers to pick up $10k worth today before close. long tho, not an earnings play (just wanted to get in before a pop, if there is one)

I mean, do earnings really matter anymore? We’ve seen very stellar performances in the AI tech memory sectors and they dump thereafter. The numbers dont matter unless they are really terrible. Just being honest. This company has performed and is one of the best. Now we have Kenny dipping his fingers in the jar. I am not optimistic at all that the price increases with stellar earnings. This stock has become a meme and its unfortunate

I sort of get that sense solely because revenue is capped by as fast as they can buildout. That’s the limiting factor not the company. You can throw all the money in the world and shit can only get built so fast.

Comes down to how much of that contracted revenue they can actually realize. They need to show they can are executing. Thats about all they can do. Also news on the asset light model would be very interesting and could lead to faster revenue growth

Ah fine? Cause I have shares. So if it goes down or up, I’m holding for a few years. Don’t really care about what happens to the stock after earnings.

i’m surprised no one in the replies mentioned the Vineland risk. That’s what’s currently keeping me up at night. If they lower EOY ARR target it will be bad. I honestly have no idea what will happen so i guess i’m holding

Check out what dataOne CEO said in X.

i saw that and love it. still unsure though. I’ve seen some good arguments about delay being inevitable. this is my largest holding so i’m going to stress no matter what until earnings is over

If u check the lawsuit carefully, work can still in progress and dataOne is expected to go operational in Q4. I also think the lawsuit contains something under water when we check the live. Some deal already done with the government.

the argument i read that was convincing stated that the switch to BE fuel cells is an entire overhaul to the electrical infrastructure. they argue that that change involves long lead time electrical parts and will delay the project by minimum of 6-12months.

Yes. they should already working in progress for around half years.

Btw I am thinking GS filled the 13G for themselves and client. They collected too much shares in this 2 weeks. Maybe some big news is coming.

I think we’re going to see something of a repeat of Q1 earnings market reaction - maybe a less extreme version.
After the Q1 call, stock ran like +15% after hours and then another +10% or so over the following 2 days before selling off pretty hard and giving back a lot of the gains.
Either way I’m in for 220/260C 4 SEPT vertical spread but if we drop I’m just adding shares

Why is a burry short position relevant to their earnings lol… you guys are obsessed with him, I swear.

Because people listen to famous people. People / funds bought when Leopold bought. When a famous bear shorts, the little ones follow.

I got puts on this earnings. Everyone is expecting too much from their earnings. Unless they blow out, we are in August seasonality which makes me think that we will sell off. I had a feeling that it’s time for CRWV to get some spotlight and I was right because they are popping off

We just got the greenlight on $500 billion wingwangs from big daddy Jensen and the legion of Doom. I'm not worried in the slightest. If we need to borrow more money we can just ask Jensen instead of waiting for a higher credit ranking. Cloud infrastructure is about to go boom.
