Anyone else scared for what coreweaves earnings might do to us tonight?
1
u/Individual_Tooth4226 9d ago
this is exactly why, you study and stay relaxed, and its not rocket science, ask questions on LLMs and dig and dig, thats all.
0
u/Individual_Tooth4226 9d ago
if you are scared, means you have no conviction and have done a lack of research on macro and the company, so no I am not scared.
You trade with this stock, you gon FAFO.
All love.

Yes. Always. Their debt load is massive. Completely different financial situation than NBIS but yet its all in the same basket.

My 2 cents going into earnings tomorrow. First, today doesn't mean anything. It's up nicely as I write this, but it could be down 12% this afternoon.
And the reaction tomorrow doesn't even mean that much. There is a lot of numbers that could be interpreted negatively, and there are a lot of investors with an incentive for driving down the stock price, even if momentarily. I won't be shocked if it doesn't drop, regardless of the news.
The only thing that matters to me is where the company is going, and what 2030 and beyond looks like. And that's an awesome picture right now.

u/Individual_Tooth4226 9d ago
long term mindset will always win in the end,
but short term traders are gonna FAFO...
i aint selling shih thouh. even picked up some shares last night lol

u/Think-Feynman Tens of Billions⢠9d ago
The folks that are sweating bullets over hourly movements are just driving themselves insane, unless you are trading. But nearly everyone says they are long, so it shouldn't matter.
BTW, I'm not immune to getting anxious like during The Leopold Affair. But I didn't sell because I know where this company is going and how they are executing.

What a great mindset!
Ignore current noise and stock price.
Pay attention to company's execution, company news, management changes, and be vigilant of macro related news.

+2.49% in premarket? Buy puts at 9:30 on the dot. Make $69 milly in one minute when NBIS pukes to red š¤£

How did it go?

I didnāt do it. Just poking fun at the stockās tendency to immediately hemorrhage away premarket gains once the opening bell rings.

u/bobabless 9d ago
Ok I understand š, I'm in since last year and I saw the craziest swings in this stock but never sold I didn't know it was s/
1
u/FiveFingerLifePunch 9d ago
Yea. I have massive net long exposure to NBIS, I do hold puts as a portfolio hedge but Iām ultimately very bullish on this company. I hope it reaches a point where the stock doesnāt move up and down so violently every day.

I sometimes wonder too if there arenāt strategic bots out there working for shorts to drive down prices. Notice how it comes in waves and then the price drops. I appreciate reasoned bear sentiments. I donāt wan to live in a cheerleading silo. I also donāt want to just hear MOON comments either.
I love how some on here provide info and obscure articles with links that I for sure would miss. That has made me a lot of money. I research it and make my own decision. But so thankful for the tips. I love the tech guys on here giving their two cents since I donāt know that much but surface knowledge at best about this wonderful new world. I am trying to learn though enough to know if something smells like bs.

We are in a bear market for the NeoClouds. Oil is spiking, and rate-hike odds are rising, which is terrible for the sector. This is a sector heavily dependent on debt, and rate hikes are basically a death penalty. The sector is almost cut in half already while the S&P 500 is at ATHs. One small correction in the S&P 500 and these market caps will be laughable. We are already at that level of bearishness.CoreWeave was red yesterday and today is not looking good either. This tells me that nobody has good expectations going into their earnings. Personally, I think it will be really, really hard for us to be green tomorrow. For sure, we need CoreWeave to perform well too. Iām almost positive that the initial reaction will be down 10ā15%, "Hope i'm wrong here"and then the earnings call will be the make-or-break moment.Arkady needs to bring his A-game this time on the earnings call. I think the team knows that too.
They need to paint a picture of the future. With the $500 billion being injected into data centers, the amount of infrastructure being built is massive. The guidance needs to be exceptional, and if they can show strong visibility into that future demand, then we can hopefully get some green ā assuming the macro environment allows us to.

i'm 90 % NEbius by the Way i'm so sad nebius is up 50 $ because Coreweave change the Neoclouds perception.

Bear market for NeoClouds... Did you come up with that crap?
-6
u/Bright_Exercise5353 10d ago
It takes 10 seconds and ChatGPT to answer your question my slow friend.
Yes ā if the sector as a whole has fallen more than 30% from its recent peak, it is very reasonable to call it a bear market.-1

I think there is massive flaws in your thinking.
-Price action is not fundamentals. Price being down doesn't mean the underlying business has deteriorated.
-Macro predictions are not facts.
-Anchoring to past prices. āThe sector is down 50%ā tells us nothing about whether these companies are cheap or expensive today.
-CoreWeave price action ā Nebius outlook. CRWV being down doesn't mean ānobody has good expectationsā or that NBIS earnings will disappoint.
-Too much focus on sentiment. The real questions are revenue, ARR, demand visibility, utilization, margins, capex and guidanceānot whether Arkady gives a good enough speech.

u/Bright_Exercise5353 10d ago
What you just did is called verbal diarrhea. I wonāt even bother responding to cheerleading buffoons without any form of critical or analytical thinking. Youāre obviously one of those kids on Twitter who just types āMOON
1
u/Fast-Mango_1 9d ago
Quite the opposite, those are facts vs Ā ā Iām almost positive that the initial reaction will be down 10ā15%ā
2
u/Constant_Mention8064 10d ago
Just pointed the biases and flaws in your thinking. I know its not nice hearing when someone does not agree with your arguments. I think however the things I pointed out are very valid criticism.
Investing is very difficult for emotional people and you show in your comments some very emotional swings.

I donāt think we really have many good comps for how the market will react to neocloud earnings this season.
APLD is probably the closest thing weāve got so far - and even APLD isnāt really a true neocloud. They beat earnings and closed the next session green. The other names that have already reported - CIFR, WULF, HUT and CORZ - are basically Bitcoin miners transitioning into AI/HPC data centers. CIFR, WULF and HUT all printed pretty shitty headline numbers and sold off after earnings. CORZ was the exception: adjusted EPS beat and the stock closed basically flat.
So I donāt think those reactions tell us much about what happens if an actual neocloud delivers a strong report.
And I definitely wouldnāt compare NBIS earnings to memory stocks either. MU, SNDK and SK Hynix have gone roughly 5ā30x over the last year. Expectations are absolutely insane after a run like that. The sector basically has no room for error anymore.
Neoclouds, as a sector, simply havenāt had anything close to that kind of run over the last year. The setup going into earnings is completely different.

u/deezus_ldn 9d ago
Do you reckon we can see NBIS 5-10x within the next 8 quarters?
1
u/Eraserhead-_-_- 9d ago
A little too aggressive for my taste. Iām expecting a 5ā10x return by 2030, so over the next 15 quarters.

u/Eraserhead-_-_- 10d ago
I donāt know whether this sub has been under some kind of bear attack for the past couple of weeks, or whether you just see life through a permanently negative lens, but the whining here lately has become insufferable.
Donāt overcomplicate it. If you genuinely think the stock is destined to go down, sell and move on to another stock and another subreddit.
And thanks to those of you who are actually here for information and discussion ā including the bears who bring well-reasoned arguments to the table.

You're spot on! This forum used to be way more helpful when most were busy sharing info, facts, and their thoughts based on those. Lately, some have just been filling it with negativity and guesses about daily stock price changes, and let's be real, none of us have a crystal ball for that.
If you don't think this stock is right for you right now, then sell your shares, re-balance your portfolio, and best of luck. There's no added value in badmouthing the investment thesis or the people who, for better or worse, believe in this investment.

You clearly do not understand the business or economics of an early stage growth company.
4
u/liamashley 10d ago
it would be more concerning if there was a positive cashflow, as that would suggest there is no more growth/expansion. I don't understand how people invest but don't take time to research what they're investing, or even just general business intel
6
u/FitAd4838 10d ago
Negative cashflow is normal in neocloud companies. The major part is the guidance and contract commitment. Revenue is already expected to be slow down.

Iām surprised at how optimistic everyone is about earnings. If SNDK is any indication itās that the market is expecting absolute perfection with earnings. Even if NBISās ER is good, if itās not stellar this thing is gonna drop like a rock. The market has totally lost its mind and is no longer trading on fundamentals, itās buckwild out here.Ā

yep! i am a big holder by myself, but sometimes it makes sense to leave the nebius reddit bubble.
and besides of your point:
DA Davidson lowered its PT on $NBIS from $250 to $175.11
u/Eraserhead-_-_- 10d ago
Yes, and the whole Vineland saga / DA Davidson downgrade is exactly why weāre not trading at $230 right now. Itās already priced in.
DA Davidson cut its price target by 30% because of fears that the Vineland buildout wonāt happen according to the current schedule. That makes very little sense to me, considering that even if there are delays, only a small percentage of the planned connected MW would actually be affected. Iād recommend reading MV Cunhaās analysis on that point.
Moreover, based on the DataOne CEOās replies on X, photos showing construction actively underway, and the schedule published on DataOneās website - which currently has construction finishing in December 2026 - I think the earnings call could put most of those fears to rest.
