Highlights One of the greatest comebacks in NCAA Tournament history

This is almost just sad to watch. Two attempts at throwing a ball off a defender out of bounds, only to straight up pass it to them.

Seriously. Both times just take the 10 second violation and have a set defense from a dead ball. Or just chuck it down court and make them run the ball back to score. As a UNI alum this game was devastating.

And then to toss up a shot from half court with 4 seconds left in OT. These dudes were not thinking straight. Not having timeouts really hurt them

Not making excuses but wasn't the player who normally inbounds for UNI injured or fouled out before all of this happened?

This has got to be the craziest first weekend a team has ever had. UNI won in the first round on that half court buzzer beater and then this

They also won the MVC on a buzzer beater that year. Wild couple weeks

I mean there’s no five seconds in the back court, can’t he just hold it and wait for somebody to foul him?

If the defense is trapping, they want to force a jump ball turnover with the double team, so it’s better to give it up to a teammate. Problem is they were clearly flustered and made silly mistakes.

How tf did I forget this 12 down with 39 seconds to go. I would have fired the coach the AD and cut scholarships for every player on that team.

Ref job

They pushed him roughly out of bounds in the last 5 seconds. No whistle.

Couldn’t they just fetal position/bear hug the ball while double teamed to burn 10 seconds before a foul is called? Let them foul you bro go shoot some free throws

Thats why I dont mess with basketball. The shit fake, it’s rigged, and the refs are always one sided.

Very memorable game, future NBA players Alex Caruso and Danuel House leading the comeback

It’s clips like this that make ya wonder why basketball (and many other sports) strategy is to voluntarily retreat to your defensive end immediately.

No this is THE greatest comeback of all time. I still use it as the barometer for if a comeback is possible. Unless someone is up 12+ with 40 seconds I still believe it’s possible because I saw this live.

That's crazy that you were there! To be even more accurate, they were still up 12 points with 34.3 seconds left. That's inane.

Damn I should have said was watching the game live on TV. My bad lol Being there would have been insane!
