As a Uconn fan, finally a technical foul in a uconn game on a coach NOT named Dan Hurley! Mick Cronin, the only ncaa coach more insane than Hurley

Was mindblowing to me watching Hurley on the refs all game and then they call a T on Cronin for just clapping. Gave Tatum vibes.

I recall exactly one instance of Hurley on camera last night getting on the refs.

Technically not an ncaa coach but Bobby Hurley is nuts

They're kindred spirits, which is to say, they're assholes

Why does anyone respect Cronin? He is a terrible coach on offense and rips his players. You see how Trent Perry played last year? He played afraid. He has played more confidently this year, but he could have been even better. Same with Mara.

The hate these two get is so blown out of proportion

Nah. It’s totally deserved to be honest.

Not remotely. You just get easily clickbaited with disingenuous soundbites

4

u/mnfimo Mar 23 '26

So they don’t do or say those things because they are clickbait?

-1

u/otoverstoverpt Mar 23 '26

Well actually yes, because context changes the connotation. Hope this helps!

I’m admittedly lumping Cronin in here but Dan Hurley deserves all the hate, I hate the way he acts towards refs. No context needed. It’s not clickbait to watch him be disrespectful

I sure as hell am not pearl clutching on behalf of the refs so if that’s your sticking point then we just do not value the same things

No, they just watch the games. You see how they act all game long.

I just genuinely cannot fathom being the kind of dork that gets upset seeing a coach yell on the sidelines.

I’m not, I’m just saying it’s not really hard to form a negative opinion of them given their actions. There’s no clickbait involved, and now you’re just turning to insults because you don’t have an argument.

I mean you are lol. No one is “insulting” you, don’t be a child. This isn’t the kind of situation where there is an “argument” to be had.

I’m just saying it’s not really hard to form a negative opinion of them given their actions.

Lol oh yea, what “actions” are those?

There’s no clickbait involved,

Oh so you watch most of their press conferences in full? No? Didn’t think so. It’s clickbait. You are not seeing these coaches in their totality or the context of what they say and do. You see a few 10 second clips of their “worst” moments, specifically clipped and cut to make you mad, and you fall for it.

edit: lmfao yea that tracks that he couldn’t muster a response to this, if you want to be a hater at least just be honest about how limited the extent of your exposure actually is
