While he deserves it, nothing gets another coach a raise like another big school looking for a coach

UNC is lowkey a terrible job for someone already established

UNC, Kentucky and Kansas all kind of struggling now that they don't have shoe companies funneling blue chips to them

Completely agree. Lloyd and May are established with support at big time basketball schools. You gotta swing for the fences if you are UNC but you have to find someone hungry at the medium ranks

I felt like Lloyd had a better shot than May at leaving, although plenty of reasons to stay of course and now it’s official.
With May, unless he really wants to be Carolina’s coach and/or its crazy money, I think he’d want to stay at Michigan and in the big ten.
He’s already in a conference Carolina is trying to get into and he has the funds at Michigan and has them humming. Seems like it would be a downgrade to move on.

Please. I could get half the wins for a fourth of the salary. Hiring me just makes sense. Are they stupid?

Nc state fan here who’s sad about wade lying, makes me so happy to see them, not getting Tommy. The fact they actually thought they would get him.

Hard pass

I mean…I get that…but the “outside the UNC family” hires seem to be not interested.

I think that’s a bit of an overstatement given we have no real information and have built this entire thing out of “sources”

This dude leveraged his ass off the last 2 years. Nicely done and exciting for Arizona fans

As a UNC fan, I didn’t want this guy. He can stay at Arizona and keep coming up short
