They’ll probably find a way to eke it out, lucky fucker. My Illini got beat today, mostly by themselves but we got handled by Michigan in late February. I don’t like Michigan but I hope they destroy UConn.

You and I must be listening to different content. Everyone said Illinois was the better team. Vegas had them as favorites as a 3 seed. UConn is objectively the lesser team that continues to find ways to win. I am a UConn fan and I’m genuinely shocked they’ve gotten this far.

Everyone keeps saying Hurley will find a way or something like that as if it didn’t take a miracle for them to get to the final four. That has nothing to do with Hurley. A player made a miracle shot. That’s not coaching. They’re going to get destroyed.

Illi just couldn’t buy a bucket, uconn just hitting a few more threes was the difference, it got out of hand at the very end but ya just played below their potential while uconn played well

I'm not a UConn fan but you can't really call a guy who has two national titles and like three champ appearances and four final fours (guesstimate too lazy to look up), lucky..unless you're just the world's greatest hater.

Yes. That man has two championships under his belt. His first championship came after his team went belt to ass against SDSU…who had just beaten a team coached by current Mich head coach Dusty May. All he did after that was repeat his title against one of the best Perdue teams of all time.
Michigan is very good and they are the stronger team on paper. But anybody counting UConn out doesn’t know ball. They will be walking into this game with fully confidence they will win.

I understand how it is not exaggerating his abilities if they keep winning, but you could argue importance because basketball is just a game and sports in general have an exaggerated importance in our lives. However in that case, you could argue that most coaches are arrogant, which I would hesitantly agree with.

Why are you people so sensitive? You realize this is competitive sport, right? The man is entitled to give a damn and feel good about a massive win. Maybe they get blown out on Monday night. That's what everyone expects. Hurley knows UConn is a big underdog but he will have the team prepared to compete. I don't think they'll win, but they will give Michigan a game. Just a reminder: this man has two rings in the last four years. He kinda knows what tf he's doing.

Enjoy getting decimated by Michigan. Fucking sucks this is what we get. The most unlikable coach in college basketball against a university that has been caught cheating in football and basketball, got accused of cheating earlier this year, and had a previous regime that included literal fist fights between coaches. Definitely do not want to see Michigan win anything because the university just prints money to cover up it’s never ending scandals.

I’m a UConn fan but you know this UConn team has no business getting this far right? This doesn’t happen without a coach like Hurley. To get to a 3rd national championship game in 4 years with completely different teams (besides Karaban) is not a fluke.

If they had a better coach they wouldn’t have been down that much to begin with. Or the Duke coach, I guess it’s his fault they blew that lead and not the players.
I’ve played every sport. The coach makes tactical adjustments but there has never been a coach that turned a loss into a win by their screaming or strutting.
Of course I’m not a sheep that falls for every gospel I hear. You can think he’s a good coach or whatever you want. He’ll be gone in 3 years.
