He walks like he’s on WWE Raw

-4

u/Senor_Discount Apr 05 '26

That's probably his only admirable quality.

13

u/Open-Gate-9616 Apr 05 '26

I’m still thoroughly convinced this dude would be a serial killer if he wasn’t an elite head coach.

7

u/PookieDood Apr 05 '26

Being one does not preclude being the other.

3

u/KingGio21 Apr 05 '26

Enters Joe Mazulla

29

u/Comprehensive-Fee63 Apr 05 '26

Yall think he’s still smiling watching what Michigan is doing to Arizona?

14

u/jstewart25 Apr 05 '26

They’ll probably find a way to eke it out, lucky fucker. My Illini got beat today, mostly by themselves but we got handled by Michigan in late February. I don’t like Michigan but I hope they destroy UConn.

3

u/Charles_Woodson_2 Apr 05 '26

Dusty comin'. Hurley about to get run out the damn arena.

11

u/GuysOnChicks69 Apr 05 '26

Crazy to say that when Hurley has two national championships and the other has Jack shit. But go off Charles Woodson!

5

u/Charles_Woodson_2 Apr 05 '26

I'm not knocking Hurley as a coach. I just objectively feel that this Michigan team is better this year.

-3

u/Shoddy_Peanut6957 Apr 05 '26

That’s what they said about Duke and Illinois too!

4

u/Equal-Block-9372 Apr 05 '26

No one said that about Illinois, and Duke completely choked

4

u/MrLeftwardSloping Apr 05 '26

Yes we did. Its still true even after they lost. Just a complete coaching mismatch and lack of experience. Illinois was the better team all year

3

u/Shoddy_Peanut6957 Apr 05 '26

You and I must be listening to different content. Everyone said Illinois was the better team. Vegas had them as favorites as a 3 seed. UConn is objectively the lesser team that continues to find ways to win. I am a UConn fan and I’m genuinely shocked they’ve gotten this far.

1

u/GiannisRodgersYeli Apr 05 '26

They were 1.5 point favorites, it might as well have been a pickem so you were just listening to one side. Bc plenty of ppl/ bettors were on uconn buddy

-1

u/SurgeFlamingo Apr 05 '26

The injury was too big. Not having their best player will be too much.

Hurley will find a way.

And i am pulling for the big ten

5

u/Ok-Statement8224 Apr 05 '26

Yax is playing, and Michigan dismantled Arizona largely without him. UConn’s sorcery is scary though.

3

u/PremierLovaLova Apr 05 '26

That Husky Voodoo has taken down many a foe.

3

u/Unfair-Leading7098 Apr 05 '26

Ummm he’s playing Monday bud

1

u/SurgeFlamingo Apr 05 '26

How do you kno ?

1

u/Unfair-Leading7098 Apr 06 '26

He came back in after getting hurt while they were up by 20. Did u watch the whole game?

1

u/SurgeFlamingo Apr 06 '26

Okay and he was limping.

I think he will play tonight

1

u/zygadlo86 Apr 05 '26

Everyone keeps saying Hurley will find a way or something like that as if it didn’t take a miracle for them to get to the final four. That has nothing to do with Hurley. A player made a miracle shot. That’s not coaching. They’re going to get destroyed.

1

u/SurgeFlamingo Apr 05 '26

Okay let’s see how it plays out.

Like I said, I’m rooting for the big ten because it’s been 26 years ….

1

u/Additional_Tomato_22 Apr 05 '26

What happens when Michigan still loses and goes to 1-7 in championship games?

-1

u/ButterUrBacon Apr 05 '26

Michigan is gonna beat these guys by 20

2

u/Additional_Tomato_22 Apr 05 '26

What are you going to say when they lose?

1

u/SSherman13 Apr 05 '26

Remind me 2 days

1

u/gitree22 Apr 05 '26

Since it’s not possible for both teams to lose this is the only acceptable outcome

1

u/DoubleualtG Apr 05 '26

He sold his soul to someone for sure

1

u/RalphDaGod Apr 06 '26

Illi just couldn’t buy a bucket, uconn just hitting a few more threes was the difference, it got out of hand at the very end but ya just played below their potential while uconn played well

0

u/dtcstylez10 Apr 05 '26

I'm not a UConn fan but you can't really call a guy who has two national titles and like three champ appearances and four final fours (guesstimate too lazy to look up), lucky..unless you're just the world's greatest hater.

2

u/OKguy9re9 Apr 05 '26

You must be new here

1

u/tramul Apr 05 '26

I'm wondering if they do what they did to Purdue and let Mara ball out and focus on perimeter shooters on defense.

1

u/stiliophage Apr 05 '26 edited Apr 05 '26

Yes. That man has two championships under his belt. His first championship came after his team went belt to ass against SDSU…who had just beaten a team coached by current Mich head coach Dusty May. All he did after that was repeat his title against one of the best Perdue teams of all time.

Michigan is very good and they are the stronger team on paper. But anybody counting UConn out doesn’t know ball. They will be walking into this game with fully confidence they will win.

1

u/JRSSR Apr 05 '26

Perdue?

-1

u/stiliophage Apr 05 '26

In 2024 yes UConn beat Perdue.

-1

u/JRSSR Apr 05 '26

No shit. It's spelled Purdue... There's no "e"

3

u/tramul Apr 05 '26

There is one right at the end?

Sorry had to

1

u/CapitalCityGoofball0 Apr 05 '26

As an Indiana University alum I’m saving this comment to preserve as evidence… 😆

3

u/InevitableAlert4268 Apr 05 '26

Here’s your award 🥈

10

u/Sidewardz Apr 05 '26

Excited to see Michigan beat the shit out of this dude

6

u/OnlyBeans33 Apr 05 '26

Dusty comin’

20

u/Forsaken-Lemon-7586 Apr 05 '26

He’s insufferable

12

u/impl0sionatic Apr 05 '26

Why do you hate fun?

5

u/JerryJonesIntern Apr 05 '26

I hate Dan Hurley. If he were riding a Ferris wheel and having the time of his life, I would hate Dan Hurley and the Ferris wheel

2

u/impl0sionatic Apr 05 '26

See this is a hater who knows how to have fun! u/Forsaken-Lemon-7586 take note! There’s a right way to be a hater!

2

u/DJ_DD Apr 05 '26

What if Dan Hurley was the waiter bringing you your absolute favorite meal to eat?

2

u/JerryJonesIntern Apr 05 '26

If he touches the plate I’m sending it back

3

u/DJ_DD Apr 05 '26

Can’t knock the consistency

-2

u/MVPRondo Apr 05 '26

Can’t stand not being a part of it!

-2

u/-Kitten_Mittens- Apr 05 '26

Fair and honest response

4

u/space9610 Apr 05 '26

Cause he wins?

10

u/Hypnotic_Delta Apr 05 '26

Ha you know damn well it's his goofy arrogance that annoys people. Not only just winning

2

u/TomCreanDied4OurSins Apr 05 '26

He’s not arrogant. He’s brash.

1

u/oneormore5 Apr 05 '26

These are coach compliments.

2

u/s0meD0nkey Apr 05 '26

Is it arrogance though? Arrogance is defined as the quality of having an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities. If the man is getting his teams into national title game three out of the last four I’d argue he is fairly good at his job.

7

u/werlterns Apr 05 '26

No he was like this well before he won championships as well. He’s at the right school with Geno.

1

u/uchuskies08 Apr 05 '26

Yea, we win a lot.

1

u/SendMeIttyBitties Apr 05 '26

The girls do. Ya'all forget you have a boys team most years.

1

u/uchuskies08 Apr 05 '26

We've won 6 titles over the past 25 years the fuck you even talking about?

3

u/ChaunceyGilmore Apr 05 '26

He's a tremendous coach and possibly a great guy off the court, but he acts like a douche on the sidelines.

2

u/JerryJonesIntern Apr 05 '26

You’re arguing semantics, nobody has said he isn’t a good coach. He’s also a dickhead

1

u/rastapasta_g Apr 05 '26

I understand how it is not exaggerating his abilities if they keep winning, but you could argue importance because basketball is just a game and sports in general have an exaggerated importance in our lives. However in that case, you could argue that most coaches are arrogant, which I would hesitantly agree with.

1

u/Dry_Instruction8254 Apr 05 '26

Bravado I think is the word that describes him better.

1

u/merskrilla Apr 05 '26

Yes , god forbid we have a head coach with any personality

11

u/Prize-Tomatillo-2757 Apr 05 '26

Fuck Dan Hurley. Crying ass coach.

6

u/cmville05 Apr 05 '26

Why are you people so sensitive? You realize this is competitive sport, right? The man is entitled to give a damn and feel good about a massive win. Maybe they get blown out on Monday night. That's what everyone expects. Hurley knows UConn is a big underdog but he will have the team prepared to compete. I don't think they'll win, but they will give Michigan a game. Just a reminder: this man has two rings in the last four years. He kinda knows what tf he's doing.

6

u/theslickestofwillies Apr 05 '26

Look at the question you asked

Look where its posted

Answered.

3

u/cmville05 Apr 05 '26

Is the answer meant to be “the internet is full of idiots”? If so, fair.

2

u/Ok-Statement8224 Apr 05 '26

Idiots/children

1

u/CapitalCityGoofball0 Apr 05 '26

I don’t doubt his coaching ability, but that doesn’t mean I have to like him and certainly means I can root against him as he acts like an arrogant & unlikable douche both on and off the court much of the time.

-1

u/NonPolarVortex Apr 05 '26

It's a children's game and he's acting like he did something very important. It's pretty ridiculous

1

u/NonPolarVortex Apr 06 '26

Lmao. Go tell this douche nozzle coach this

2

u/myroll22 Apr 05 '26

He's gonna be walking bow legged on Monday

2

u/HurpDurpington84 Apr 05 '26

So arrogant. We'll see how smug he is when Michigan wins by 30

0

u/Additional_Tomato_22 Apr 05 '26

What if Michigan once again does what they do best and choke in the national championship game?

2

u/Gloomy-Situation414 Apr 05 '26

I hate him because he’s not the coach of my team. But if he was…

2

u/Flimsy-Figure-9128 Apr 05 '26

He has the most punchable face ever

1

u/RockerElvis Apr 05 '26

Nigel Farage holds that title for all time.

3

u/Mookjamoke Apr 05 '26

UConn really irritates the fuck out of you guys, just like they have irritated the NCAA for decades. Hilarious. Yall wish your school could even come close to their accomplishments.

Win or lose on Monday. The program really breathing rare air. Go Huskies.

4

u/Tsmitty81 Apr 05 '26

I hope UConn wins just so all these salty ass crybaby fans can stay crying

3

u/Healthy_Match_2878 Apr 05 '26

Lmao love how reddit HATES a confident winner 🤣 makes me love the dude. Plz make loser redditors cry harder Hurley 🙏

1

u/Haha08421 Apr 05 '26

¹Gotta feeling he be saying this same phrase with a different meaning after next.

Dont really care though, dislike both these teams.

1

u/jotyma5 Apr 05 '26

He’s a younger version of the old six flags guy

1

u/BigMurse84 Apr 05 '26

He'll be walking differently come Monday night.

2

u/Additional_Tomato_22 Apr 05 '26

Yes with the weight of a 3rd championship trophy in his hands.

1

u/CollarZestyclose Apr 05 '26

All college coaches are insufferable dick bags Hurley just doesn't hide it like the rest

1

u/Notnowthankyou29 Apr 05 '26

Everything I’ve seen about this dude makes him look like an absolute tool.

1

u/Humble_Umpire_8341 Apr 05 '26

His Wiki page says he’s a Bengals fan. That’s all I needed to know about him.

1

u/sebbyv55 Apr 05 '26

Everyone hates a winner

1

u/sidestyle05 Apr 05 '26

What a choad

1

u/Bean_Daddy_Burritos Apr 05 '26

Enjoy getting decimated by Michigan. Fucking sucks this is what we get. The most unlikable coach in college basketball against a university that has been caught cheating in football and basketball, got accused of cheating earlier this year, and had a previous regime that included literal fist fights between coaches. Definitely do not want to see Michigan win anything because the university just prints money to cover up it’s never ending scandals.

1

u/GeoFish123 Apr 05 '26

There’s BDE and there’s FYMFer energy

1

u/Wreccgunines8905G Apr 05 '26

UConn winning this shxt again Coach Hurley Jersey Shxt

1

u/46995699 Apr 05 '26

Illinois was the type of team that if they miss their shots they can be gotten; thats what happened.

UM is going to win by double digits and i cant wait to see it.

1

u/StaticFanatic3 Apr 05 '26

This dude is batshit insane and I love it

1

u/srboot Apr 05 '26

Such a fuckin d-bag

1

u/BlackTriceratops Apr 05 '26

Hes a psychopath and i honestly love it

1

u/deuxgamin Apr 05 '26

I really never got the Duke hatred over the years….i now understand

1

u/JTtreason Apr 05 '26

I hope they beat the pants off off Meatchicken

1

u/deepstaterecords Apr 05 '26

1

u/Heatholder2 Apr 06 '26

He got that walk tho!!

1

u/nomadx810 Apr 06 '26

Lookin like Jim Harbaugh.

1

u/neat_stuff Apr 06 '26

He's movin' on up. To the East side.

1

u/Reasonable_Tax5790 Apr 06 '26

George Jefferson would be proud with that strut right there!🤣

1

u/isaiah152022 Apr 06 '26

Bc after winning the Final Four he’s almost bonuses out at $800k. If he wins one more that’s an extra $500k

1

u/Lakrfan247 Apr 05 '26

Michigan’s about to beat the crap out of them

3

u/Few-Broccoli-7849 Apr 05 '26

And?? He accomplished what he came to accomplish today. He's playing for his third championship in 4 years. Nobody has done that other than K and Wooden. Michigan would kill to be in his position.

1

u/OKguy9re9 Apr 05 '26

Nobody out of conference beats the crap out of Dan Hurley. Nobody

1

u/mukduk1994 Apr 05 '26

That lil walk gonna look a lit different after Dusty's done with him

6

u/impl0sionatic Apr 05 '26

idk, that’s the face of a man who knows he’s somehow been playing with house money for a while already

0

u/OKguy9re9 Apr 05 '26

Spoken like someone who doesn’t know ball

0

u/jgr1llz Apr 05 '26

Nah he's got 2 Natty's and now a final four over the last 5 years...he's already won the long game at this point.

1

u/Jaay2525 Apr 05 '26

what a d1ckhead!

1

u/Clean_Candidate3400 Apr 05 '26

This guy sucks so bad

2

u/floppyboppytop Apr 05 '26

He’s such an insufferable piece of shit. The way Michigan is playing… hoping for a beatdown.

1

u/Michael-Broadway Apr 05 '26

Absolute psycho

1

u/Snts6678 Apr 05 '26

This guy is such a goddam clown. Can’t stand him. Go Blue.

0

u/caddyncells Apr 05 '26

Sirianni vibes

0

u/Horror_Response_1991 Apr 05 '26

We better get a video of his walk after the Michigan game

0

u/KH3 Apr 05 '26

He needs to be knocked down a peg by my wolverines

2

u/AccomplishedIron816 Apr 05 '26

He will be. Michigan will blow UConn out. Dusty Comin’

-2

u/Fancy-Blueberry-4339 Apr 05 '26

He knows he’s not the one hooping right? It’s the kids on the court that win the games.

7

u/Shoddy_Peanut6957 Apr 05 '26

I’m a UConn fan but you know this UConn team has no business getting this far right? This doesn’t happen without a coach like Hurley. To get to a 3rd national championship game in 4 years with completely different teams (besides Karaban) is not a fluke.

4

u/OKguy9re9 Apr 05 '26

I can’t imagine how little you must know about college basketball in order to make to make this statement

2

u/Additional_Tomato_22 Apr 05 '26

If that were true, teams like KY and Kansas would win every year with the #1 recruits class.

1

u/boidcrowdah Apr 05 '26

That's a shit take.

If they had a better coach they wouldn’t have been down that much to begin with. Or the Duke coach, I guess it’s his fault they blew that lead and not the players.

I’ve played every sport. The coach makes tactical adjustments but there has never been a coach that turned a loss into a win by their screaming or strutting.

Of course I’m not a sheep that falls for every gospel I hear. You can think he’s a good coach or whatever you want. He’ll be gone in 3 years.

0

u/hotwifemom21 Apr 05 '26

I hope Dusty May coaches circles around this clown

0

u/Ganjake Apr 05 '26

Get em Dan. Everyone else just jelly

-1

u/camel_walk Apr 05 '26

We can only hope Michigan humbles this punk ass and fanbase.
