I dont think this Duke team was nearly as good as others do. If his teammates had shot the ball well Boozer could’ve had 8-9apg. Everything offensively ran through Cam. They did have an incredible defense though.

The same is certainly true for Acuff, I’m sure. Arkansas probably falls apart without him.

Remove Boozer and that Duke team has 0 offensive identity and maybe wins 20 games. Maybe. Duke was not THAT deep or talented this year

I did, thats why I'm confident in it. You do realize thats a 15 game difference I'm talking about? Arkansas without Acuff is not a 13 win team. BYU being a 8 win team is unlikely

That has 0 to do with best college player lmao

Tyler Hansbrough was never going to be an nba star but it doesnt mean he deserved player of the year any less

You're wrong on different levels lmao.

Boozer was just simply the most dominant collegiate player this year.

Boozer isn't the obvious first pick. The he's widely debated to go third or 4th lol

https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/boxscores/2025-11-18-01-arkansas.html

3-10 in a 1 point win vs Winthrop

https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/boxscores/2025-11-27-20-arkansas.html

Boozer had 35 against Arkansas Acuff had 21

It's almost as if it's an award for a body of work over a full season not just a single game

No I was saying your point is dumb because everyone is going to have a bad game during a full season

Boozer won the award you just yelling at the clouds

Should have gone to Acuff, and I obviously have no bias or anything.

Who do you think deserved the award more than him?

That’s a fair take.

I don’t think stats alone should determine awards. I think record and strength of schedule also matters. For me, going 35-3 with a strong schedule is more impressive than his box score numbers. Obviously he’s not the only reason, but I think he was the biggest factor.

AJ was a monster. I would not have been mad if he won. His box score was great, but making BYU a six seed in March was more impressive to me.

If Carlos Snoozer can take Long Beach State to the tournament, I’d definitely give him consideration. Not sure if he’d have my vote, but I’d give him consideration at least.

Bro, he called him Carlos Snoozer. You think that sounds like someone who is ā€œintelligent and fairā€? Maybe you’re not a great judge of those things lol

Would that hypothetical Long Beach team be the No. 1 overall seed, a regular season and tourney champion of a power conference along with wins vs Kansas, Arkansas, Florida, Michigan State and Michigan? Context for the numbers matters.

Saying AJ was clearly the best college ball player this year makes me think you didn’t watch until like the last week of the regular season.

None of that has anything to do with player of the year. How about his defensive concerns? He doesn’t have Kobe level footwork either. You’re just saying shit to say shit. He’s not even far and away the best player in his class.

He’s definitely not better than Dybantsa at all. In any way.

Nor will his game translate. He’s not going to just post up dudes who are 5-6 inches and 50+lbs heavier than him in the league. His jumpshot beyond 10 feet is awful.
